Pet peeve with basketball announcers. This one from the UNI game when a Wyoming player goes to the hoop and dunks it in the first minute but the ref made the correct charge call.
"I hate that call. He is just trying to make an early statement."
Then make the statement within the rules of the game! Do you go driving 100 MPH down the road and tell the cop "I was just making an early statement"?

And of course the neighbor has contractors over early this morning banging around and running all sorts of power equipment.

The WBB game thread was safe. Expectations were generally low and realistic so no meltdown.
Playoff beard lasted much shorter than I was expectig.
But my skill with the electric trimmer has gotten so skilled I don't even need the guard when manscaping anymore. Next up, shapes and designs!

I really need to start asking my uncle about details of flights before agreeing to it.

Our flight to Houston Sunday before last departed DSM at 5.40am. That's just tooooooo damned early.
We have been on spring break all week. Momma hasn't gotten out of bed until after 8:30am every day. The almost 4 yr old will get up and go potty, then go back in her room and play quietly. The 2yr old gets up about 9-9:30am. We don't see the almost 12yr old until close to 11am.
I actually am one...after ISU, of course. Son & DIL met & graduated there, oldest granddaughter is there now.

I have an uncle, six cousin's (one of whom played on one of the football teams that got to the national title game) and a sister who all went to UNI. They are my adopted second favorite school.
I really hate when you buy something online, they take the money out of your account, then they put it back, then they take it out again. Confuses the hell out of me. I always hope they forget to take it out the second time so I get the item(s) for free. Hasn't happened yet...
