Well boys maybe we should get together & have a "sickie" party. I kept nodding off at the game against UMKC, went to work the next day & came home around 1.00p. Been home ever since. Blerg.

Well, e'erybody complaining about being sick...hope you're happy...I woke up this morning sounding like Barry White and coughing up stuff that looks like I was huffing neon spray paint last night. Got up at 8, went back to bed at 9 and slept until 10.
So, not only do I get to finish up christmas shopping/wrapping over the next 2 days with this crud, I won't be able to capitalize onna kids being at grandma and grandpa's.
:realmad:
(actually, while frustrating, I'll get by...but I feel like I should really put on a show for the women who like to complain about men being sissies when they're sick)
Earlier this week I felt like that commercial where the mom tells the kids she is taking a sick day.
I chose to avoid most of the BDJ crap yesterday, too busy making my dad a photo book (Cyclone themed from my girls). It may contain a picture of Fred with his future daughter-in-law.
And for your feelgood story of the day--a good friend of mine is a 31 rep (they sell bags). She raised donations for 214 lunch totes which were filled with a few goodies and delivered to the Ronald McDonald house in Iowa City with help from the WBB team yesterday. Hope they are enjoyed by the families there. No one should have to think about spending the holidays away f Tom home with a sick child in the hospital.

Fire lit, cup of tomato soup made, two furry footwarmers purring down by my feet, just put in Despicable Me - I blame Angie's thread for that last bit.![]()
Making a shopping list, packing up the kids, preparing for the hour drive to the parents...oh, and I guess today we should find out who's buying my grandparents' farm that has been in the family for over 60 years...then probably an afternoon of grocery shopping and present wrapping.
I'll trade you...
I'd feel bad for you if you didn't live in Hawaii.I'm gonna have to leave work at about 2 if I want to watch the game from tip. I just don't know if I'm going to be able to do that.

My office has been a constant parade of food since Thanksgiving. If I escape the holidays gaining less than 10 lbs, I'm calling it a success. Otherwise, I guess I'll hit up CG for her chicken recipe.
I'll give you a streaming site if you want. If it's not possible for you to watch it at work an ESPN gametracker may be your only hope. I had to "watch" a couple of the Big 12 tournament games on those last year since they were on while I was in class.
Nope. Did that for many many years. I've earned the right to just be sick, and not be productive.![]()
I've got some streaming sites, but the wireless at work is so slow that it can't even handle YouTube videos without a bunch of buffering.
