Random Thoughts 17: Here we go again.

A text from my buddy whose wife switched from working in one of the worst CR schools to College Community (Prairie) this year. "How to tell you no longer teach in an "inner city" school." It was bring your tractor to school day.

I bet Linn-Mar still does it too.

Who decided that socks are essentially one size fits all?
I wear size 12 and pretty much all socks are listed as 6-12
I have some Hanes socks that I have to fight to get on and off.

What happens if your feet are bigger than 12? I rarely see socks for shoe sizes larger than that.

Husband is also a size 12. I'm almost positive I've seen extended sizes of socks at the blue box store...at least athletic socks.

And yeah...size 11 myself. There are some cute socks out there, but "one size fits all" socks only go up to 10. I'm happy if I find athletic socks in cute solid colors. Men's patterned socks are fairly boring.

Sooooo...weird commiseration?

Sometimes. I was going to order some socks online and they didn't have them to fit Size 12 (which I also wear).

I don't have any problem getting dress socks or athletic socks in 12's or 13's but some socks aren't made to fit that (or larger). I received some Nordic socks for a gift once (Size L) and they were too tight to put on.

And guys everywhere shed a tear...

Mini skirts were one of the most obnoxious fashions. Next to impossible to sit, get a drink from a water fountain, or walk up stairs in them without flashing the panties... :D
