7 players on the line but the left tackle wasn't covered. I was just going through rules and it seems you don't have to cover both tackles in the NCAA as long as you have 7 on the line.
Of course that makes one of the receivers ineligible as he is covered. When the play started he stepped back so there wasn't an ineligible receiver down field.
Therefore I've come to the conclusion it was a legal play.
I've always thought both tackles had to be covered but I guess that's just the NFL

We ALMOST followed it up with Escape from LA but I didn't think he could handle that much Plissken in a row. So we watched The Substitute instead because it was the next show in Prime's lineup and we were lazy. It started playing automatically and we just went with it.
