Misting...must have been nice. Our first game had one lightning delay followed by downpours the rest of that one. Thankfully we had preplanned to switch shirts for the varsity game so my torso was good but my shoes were soaked along with my pants which I spent the time between games wringing out and running under a hand dryer.

The CR and IC officials associations are not too bad. Good training etc. Now where I would say they do not do good and this is more of a state thing IMO is enforcement of rules. Some guys are gung ho on stuff like "the rules say knees must be covered and only one stripe of eye black" while others have given up on enforcing it. I am more in the second group. We ask the coaches if their players are legally equipped and they always say yes. Now we can then enforce it saying you are a liar but from a liability standpoint I would like to think we are good to go. And let's be honest until the kids see it enforced at D1/NFL OR the state comes down on it it's just not worth it.

A guy we know, has retired recently, used to be in that one. May have been a member of the crew that did my kids game as they were a little older and did Iowa river games.
 
I needed 8 oz of cream. Naturally they no longer sell it in that size at my Kroger. So I bought a 32 oz bottle and used the rest to make butter. Now I need to figure out what to do with the buttermilk.

Husband was looking up how RPI was calculated if a HS team played an out-of-state team. An example he saw brought up this question....

Why did Iowa City High play Joliet Catholic?
 
Anyone know of a place in central Iowa that does snow blower repair on a battery operated snow blower?

I watched the original Dawn of the Dead last week for the first time in most likely 30+ years.
Finished Street Trash yesterday. Most likely try Sinister 2 tomorrow
