Random Thoughts 17: Here we go again.

Neighbors weeds going crazy again where they decided to not finish their lawn. I may be nice and mix 3 lbs of atrazine in a jug of class act and tell them that I’m offering an olive branch and this will fix their weed mess.



For 5 years.

We have neighbors across the street that mow the front part of their lawn once in awhile. Everything from the front edge of the house and behind has not been mowed yet this year. They have a push mower. This is the second year they've asked another neighbor's a lawn care service for information.

They bought flower pots and soil a couple months ago - that's all haphazardly strewn across the front porch.

And from what we saw this winter, they also don't believe in scooping snow - though Mother Nature forced them to do some.

They have 6 kids - two in Jr High that are in charge of moving the trash cans from in front of the garage to the curb every week. You rarely see this family outside.

They tore up their whole lawn, did a stupid rock wall on one side,threw sod down but left the back undone. Ran out of money again we heard. Well, don’t buy that camper and finish your lawn. Or seed the whole lawn.

Busy day in Marion thus far. Smoldering fire in a large apartment complex lead to 7 people hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisonings and now a fatal motorcycle crash.

Boss is on hospice now and his son said he thinks it'll only be a couple weeks. They said they are going to try holistic medicine because there's nothing to lose, but his son thinks it's futile at this point. I brought up that I want to do something else and he said he completely understands.

Just saw the Indiana Jones movie. It's got a lot going on and they crank up the ridiculousness but it hits all the right spots.

I've had quite a few people in my circle lose loved ones over the last year or two and the scene when Jones says something like 'I feel pain all over' got me good in thinking of what those folks have been going through.

Cleaned up 90-95% of the weeds in the wife’s garden and trenched in a little 32 that was left over from side dressing. A little more water and another dose of 32 in a week or so and she should have crazy tomatoes.

It's Garner so there is always space. If its really big, Edward Jones took over the old gas station south of it so they have a huge parking lot area.
