From our tailgating spot, about an hour ago we watched three jets land (OK, we didn’t actually see them land, but close enough) at the Ames Airport. Wonder if Matthew McConaughey was on any of them. Don’t agree with his university choice, but I’d get my picture taken with him….

Well that was a dandy game left work at 430 cleaned up made kick off, and home at midnite. What a beautiful evening for FB hard to believe it was a November evening.

The funniest thing I saw today was walking out of the game waas walking out beside a Texas fan nothing said between us and here comes a Horn fan from the opposite direction and throws the Horns Down to him. I busted out laughing. Talked to the guy next to me after that for a little bit he had no idea why they benched their QB. Oh well let them go to the SEC and enjoy their money.

Well the first half offense was rather anemic but came out dynamic in the second half. Crowd seemed great the whole game. I know I yelled a lot during the whole game.

What a game! Call me crazy, but I wasn't scared at halftime. This team has poured it on in the second half all season. And they did! Loud crowd the whole freakin' game...even when we started blowing them away. The Cyclone Power chant near the end gave me chills...I hope it came through on the TV broadcast. Loved the halftime show, but needed our kids there cause the only games we recognized for sure were PacMan & Tetris. ;)

Was introduced to LilWX (what a charmer HE is!), saw GR8 at halftime, didn't see NDubs or BC or Sara. Got there too late to say howdy to Ms3 and/or Velo in the tailgate lots.

All in all, a GREAT night of football!

And yes, posted the scoreboard on FB immediately after the game, with the caption along the lines of "I doubt they will find it any more hospitable in the SEC". Yes, it was absolutely directed at my Longhorn sister who used to call me after every ISU/UT FB and MBB game...until we started winning them, that is. I resisted the urge to call her. :D

Funny thing is, she's married to an Aggie, and they retired in College Station. And now the tea-sippers and the goat-ropers will be in the same conference again. Poetic justice.

I was getting pretty down after the first two quarters but keeping them from scoring before half when it looked like we might go down 14-3 or 10-3 was huge. Especially when I reminded myself we got the ball to start the 3rd. Well, after that I got to see the team we thought we might see almost every game this year. Good fun watch.

Old man quads were pretty sore last night. After time in the attic Friday and Saturday crawling around crouched like a chimpanzee I biked 26 miles (weather was sweet for November). Good News: Hit my 1200 mile ceiling goal. Bad News: I have a couple more quad cramping trips into the attic to finish up...had to let some caulk and foamy dry, now just insulation placement.

I was able to meet him when we had your tickets a few weeks ago and I agree. What a big, fun personality on that kid.

Speaking of tickets, we found your gift when we returned home. I was feeling so crappy I don't think I ever thanked you! Cy is right up there on the shelf with our Cyclone Gnomes. :D

Ditto on the game! We left tailgating earlier than usual because we were all packed up and I didn't want to be in a giant group of people trying to get in later. Lots of open space at the scanning lines on the north.

Weather was awesome, although I think I have sun/wind burn on my face today. What a thing to have in early November!

Maybe sometime we could "all" try to meet at halftime to say hi ... Probably wishful thinking, but, we know we're all there somewhere!

It won't be this year, at least not for us. My sister is showing up on the same day as the TCU game, and it would be bad form to not be here...especially since this is only the fourth time she has come to Iowa in the past nearly 40 years.

I really hate missing senior night, too. :( I love the introductions, and the band at halftime.

I have to say that it was great being in a sold out JTS for the game last night. Crowd seemed great in the first half and then took it up a few notches in the second half.
