This morning I spied and photographed an Iceland Gull. And, as the name implies, a bit off of it's regular turf.
Beat the raking and bagging that came later. Maybe 20% into that ongoing task. My big silver maple hasn't even dropped leaves yet. Nor the neighbors oaks that will cover half my yard later.

People two rows in front of us were showing it on their phones during the game. Took me a few seconds to figure out the dangling figures weren't the same.
Someone even brought in a G6! After talking with a G6 pilot after the game he was surprised since the average brakes off weight of the G6 is higher than the rated weight of runway 01/19 at Ames.

I may be getting myself in trouble for the TCU game. My sister is coming into town that day, and we're having Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, so I have a spit-ton of cooking to do on Friday (the day of the game). So we gave our tickets to a dear friend, our former pastor (now retired). He's a TCU alum and a hardcore TCU fan, but not dooshey about it. He's a really great guy. Be nice to him, @wxman1 !
Our Bradford pear in front would give it a run for the money. At least we only have one now -- city cut down the other one early on in COVID because it was poorly maintained from the start and would probably have cracked down the center during a strong wind. Nothing to do with COVID except timing -- we were home and I talked with the city forester before the job.

You're kidding, right? David has known me for nearly 40 years, and we're still friends. Language usage has never been a barrier.
One of my roommates in college had that as his alarm. But not the whole song, just the refrain. And he liked to hit snooze. That was a long first semester.
