Random Thoughts 15: Crystal Clear 2021 Edition

All this talk of insects and mowing reminded me that a few weeks ago my wife went out to mow and before I could go out and start I hear her scream and I just laugh because I know why. I then hear another scream that's even louder. Grasshoppers were jumping on her. She was a good hundred yards away and I was inside and could hear her. I ended up mowing that part too.

My issue is this year the grasshopper or crickets have been out of control right around the foundation of my house. Whichever one makes loud chirps.

Crickets have been unbelievable up here as well.

Yikes. All I am getting is evidence their algorithms are broken, based on the tasteless far right memes that keep coming up as "Suggested for you". Guess a couple of friends are liking this **** but not post sharing it so it's sort of a more stealthy association. The far righties are alumni association "friends", not actual friends I do stuff with.

-out of all the things that I'd imagine get posted on there these days, that's actually funny that they went after THAT.
