If, after vaccine and all, I drive down to Quads to see my sis and BIL that would be a 700 mile round trip. Unaccustomed to driving as I am I might need to hire a chauffeur.

That is a much loved but overrated place IMO. It's pretty good but might as well go a little further north and not near as far west and hit up the Taco King in Albert Lea. I'll chow down some Taco House but I'm not sure that it's any better than Taco Tico. I think the novelty of T.H. is the serving on pie tins and the plastic silverware is part of what gives it appeal. It's sauces are pretty good though. It's service is usually sloooow though, too many customers and not enough help it seems usually.
Well a rather sad streak for James H Hilton Coliseum. On the 50th anniversary (looking GOOD at 50 by the way) the MBB failed to notch a single conference win at home.
Oh, that reminds me - I haven't done MY FB log. You must have seen Lew's. We were trying to decide on a new direction, and I told him about this taco place that RTT peeps & Angie all seem to love. So Ft Dodge it was.

This makes it easier to remember the age of Hilton A certain woman I know turns maybe the same age tomorrow. Her gift is to hit today so I will get it wrapped and maybe make a cake for her birthday.

That's an incredibly stupid way to go out of business. How do you accidentally sell your delivery car? Did nobody else have a car to make deliveries in the meantime while you work to get a "new" delivery car? Smh

I may start a thread when the new MBB coach is hired and have people state if they think he/she will be successful or not. So many people now trying to claim they knew Prohm would not be successful but only commented after his first bad season. A lot of revisionist history it seems.
And before he got to ISU apparently ISU was basically 1990 UNLV.
If a certain so and so comes in and doesn't get even close to those 'heights' it will be very interesting.

Funny. Right after the son wanted me to play Iron Man by Black Sabbath during lunch break from his school day yesterday I played Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult.
He got a kick out of it.
That song has held up very well in my opinion. The guitar riffs are unique and perfect.

I liked those deep fried thingies , going back to the early 1970's when I was a student.
Talked with my dad last night, first time since January. Didn't realize it had been so long! Anyway, he and mom, and my sister who works in a workshop type setting but lives alone, all have received their first shot. I was relieved! Mom and Dad live in a very small town in Iowa and actually got shots at the town clinic. It was/is getting 10 per week. Amazing that some places are really making this work.
In the early 70s I was MAKING those deep fried thingies, in Pullman. Worked there putting the ex through grad school. Damn near went into labor in the office with firstborn son.I liked those deep fried thingies , going back to the early 1970's when I was a student.
Edit: I guess it was actually LATE 70s...76-78.
