Did your right foot hit the floor at any time?Oldest has only once drove a stick he told me. Also wants to learn how the drive the truck, so I figure, why the hell not. Told him only empty, less dangerous that way. I still have patience when needed I found out. There are certain things I struggled to explain properly, like I don’t use the clutch so it was tough to explain a step through on it. Though, dnd.
My mom's cousin also doesn't use the clutch when hauling. Didn't know that was possible.Oldest has only once drove a stick he told me. I drive a stick car, how does one just not use a clutch at all?Oldest has only once drove a stick he told me. Also wants to learn how the drive the truck, so I figure, why the hell not. Speed shifting. You rev up the gear, then quick let off the gas & shift, then back on the gas. If you time it right, you're good. If you screw up the timing, better be ready to buy a new clutch plate.I drive a stick car, how does one just not use a clutch at all?

But why would you? Just easier?Speed shifting. You rev up the gear, then quick let off the gas & shift, then back on the gas. If you time it right, you're good. If you screw up the timing, better be ready to buy a new clutch plate.![]()
Both feet were firmly planted it seemed.Did your right foot hit the floor at any time?
Only need it for first and reverse. Trucks are unsynchronized gears so you can pop them in and out using just throttle differences. My mom's cousin also doesn't use the clutch when hauling. Didn't know that was possible.
No reason. At least, none that I know of. It's probably just "showing off" for most folks. My ex taught me to drive a stick, and to speed shift. But why would you? Just easier?
Easier, less clutch wear and tear (just replaced it so I know the exact cost) and you get tired of clutching so much. But why would you? Just easier?
Been under the weather the last 2 days. Several of my symptoms match that of covid. Looked at test iowa but all the sites I could choose from are the far parts of the state. I'm like wtf because I know Ames has one and Marshalltown should too. Even then I probably couldn't get a test iowa one scheduled for today.
So I did the hyvee rapid test which is $100 but you get results in 1 or 2 hours. They only went up 1 nostril but I swear they went up further than the test iowa one I did last summer.
Well, I'm praying that you're negative.
