BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's confirmation... Time to change the thread title.

This is getting out of hand
It's getting really tough to decide what group in the class I'm most excited about, TE's, LB's, DL....if I'm honest, it's pry all of the above.
I suppose it could be read like that, but I read it as "it's amazing there weren't a lot more elite programs after him".

D-line/Rasheed at ISU calls themselves the chain gang
And from the Mario thread:
In the meantime, I think we’re going to be more than fine if we land both Ikenna Ezeogu and R Mason Thomas.
So no Mario Eugenio, but instead R Mason Thomas (and Ikenna Ezeogu). By everyone's reaction, this is great news (well not the Mario part but).

I haven't read Ikenna's thread yet but will soon, so refer me over there rather than repeating. What is it about these two that we are so happy about? Do you think Mason Thomas will be as good or perhaps even better than Eugenio? Ezeogu?

I'm getting pumped listening to you guys!

Mario Eugenio is probably a guy who can spot play as a pass rusher as a true freshman. He’s got about 25 pounds on R Mason Thomas right now.

This is IMO. Rivals had R Mason Thomas at a camp, and lists him at 6’2” 215. He was also a sprinter on the track team, with an 11.75 100m time as a sophomore. For reference, that’s better than the best time for our corner recruit.

I compare him to Jason Berryman physically at the same stage, because Berryman was a District 200m champ in Texas, and was listed at 6’2” 210 when he came in.

I think R Mason could probably see some spot time as a pass rusher as a true freshman. But I don’t think we’ll need him as a starter right away. When I look at his video, he’s amazing when he separates from a blocker and closes on whoever has the ball. If he doesn’t bulk up enough, he could always be a linebacker.

As far as Ikenna Ezeogu, he’s also very athletic, and at 6’5” 225 (from the Lindenwood Camp), much longer.

Both of these guys are simply more raw and unpolished than Eugenio. Give them to Dave Andrews, Eli Rasheed and the nutrition staff for a while, and we’re going to have some very, very good players.

Fair enough?

Yes, thank you! Awesome assessment. Looks like we got a diamond in the rough, and not so rough at that, just needs to grow into the position.

I don't think we've ever had a DE as quick and fast as Thomas. He's got speed to run down RBs from the back in the backfield, but also has quickness to get off the ball and beat his man to the QB.

Which cornerback did we recruit that is slower than 11.75 100m?
Did you mean 10.75? Under 11.5 is fast for a high school athlete and fast for a d linemen but an 11.75 is not.

These are the reps that the OL won

Thanks for sharing... one question. Was Tawfiq Thomas not in the highlight you posted because he wasn't 'beat' or was he in a different 'grouping'?

(Personally I'm hopeful he signs with the good guys because his camp tape/highlights look pretty impressive to my untrained eyes)

Noble Thomas has a personal best time of 12.04 from last year. To be fair, he was a sophomore, it was early in the season before COVID interrupted, and he doesn’t appear to have run track in ‘20.
