PS4 or XBox??

Ok, I'll be that guy. Neither. The Switch is better than either, especially for younger kids.

We have Switch and really enjoy it! My sons still play it a lot...just wanted to add to the collection.

I see the game pass is on sale for $60 for the year right now? Maybe I am looking at the wrong pass...but that seems to be a good deal. I might be leaning toward XBox at this point...but I certainly may change my mind before I buy.

Wait...I was looking at the price for Gold Live...that is a different thing than the Game Pass...right? Not sure I need the Gold Live thing yet...as my kids are young...they don't need to be "live" yet...right?

Yeah you might have been looking at Xbox Live price for the $60 for the year. If you are going to let your kids play online with friends you will need that. The Xbox game pass is a stand alone subscription for access to multiple games to play at anytime (I think you still need to download the game though).

I don't believe you have to have Gold to get Gamepass, but you won't be able to play games with online multiplayer if you don't. But if you don't plan on that, it's not a big deal. Go look at the games available on Gamepass before you do anything. See what's out there. They add new ones pretty often. They release them in batches maybe 3-4 times per month. It's a heck of a deal for a family. Has actually saved me a lot of money because I find myself not buying games at the same rate I used to.
