Haha. I saw that comment, too. Ridiculous. Was just in comments for Iowa Chill on FB. An Iowa fan had the gall to say the refs were biased for US. Unreal.

2 game sample size, and this might be a testament to the physical of our bigs (BRE, Jackson, Jefferson) but man Owen Freeman is mid as hell.rewatching the game... holy cow does freeman get the benefit of the whistle A LOT.
Watching some extended video highlights. Some of those fouls we got were nothing more than hoks spazing. Terrible calls. Hoks are Charmin soft.
**** Iowa
Hate on me if people want. Speaking of Charmin soft…anyone complaining about Iowa players celebrating after baskets are also soft.I’m sorry but Charmin isn’t that soft and is overrated
Honestly it should be in the game plan when over there to get off at least one shot from that spot, just knowing how they'd react.I really wish CuJo would have planted the isu flag on the #22 logo. Or at least danced on it.
100%. one team was used to being physical and other team acted like they didn't know they were playing a contact sport.Watching some extended video highlights. Some of those fouls we got were nothing more than hoks spazing. Terrible calls. Hoks are Charmin soft.

That was the #1 sign that if their lead dwindled they would cave. They knew they had to go off on ISU to have a shot at the end.I have zero issues with having fun and enjoying the moment when out on the floor...however, I felt that Iowa players were almost too celebratory and...a bit cocky most of the game. It was almost like they surprised even themselves when they jumped out to a big lead. Again, be who you are...but the Iowa players (and bench) seemed to celebrate any "success" like it was the greatest moment of their lives!
You could tell this was his first time in a "big" game. I didn't see anything wrong with his emotion, but it was clear he was carried away in the environment. Kind of a "just happy to be here" look on his face.#3 was a clown. He was acting like they had a 25 point lead with 3 minutes to IN THE FIRST HALF. He high-fived a fan at one point lol.
Iowa basketball is starting to give me some UNI vibes. A bunch of try hard Iowa kids who feel slighted not getting offered by the Premier program in the state and playing out of their minds in one game. The first half was definitely their A game and about the only way they could beat a team as loaded as ISU. The reality is they're a lot of Iowa kids who play second fiddle to ISU, it's impossible for them or any team to be motivated like that every night out, if they could be, they'd be top 25.
I texted a hawk associate of mine that I would tackle Freeman on the court and it would be worth the ejection. What a tool.2 game sample size, and this might be a testament to the physical of our bigs (BRE, Jackson, Jefferson) but man Owen Freeman is mid as hell.

Our guys were very animated during the comeback and I saw Cujo at least twice give the fans on the sidelines the business after 3’s. It’s a high level collegiate basketball game. Let the players show emotion no matter what the team. It’s not a big deal and the fact there are multiple posts about it is cringe worthy.
2024Some of you historians enlighten me. When was the last time the Clones won in Carver and Kinnick in the same year? I am titillated and the sun will shine in glory today on the Cyclone State. I luxuriate knowing that any Hawkeye fan that opens their mouth until September’25 will get a smirk from me and they’ll know.
There was at least twice where he shoved our players in the back with two hands to get the rebound and nothing was called.rewatching the game... holy cow does freeman get the benefit of the whistle A LOT.
This you? Maybe not complaining but you definitely made it a point to bring it up multiple times.Just finally got to watch. WTF is wrong with Iowa players? The flexing and the pointing to the crowd and the bend over hard clapping. That was my takeaway lol. Embarrassing.

His efforts at being Hassel just don't land IMOChris’s “anti-Red Panda” shtick is weird
I agree, I don't have issues with the celebrations. We loved Naz Long. To me, it was more just a sign of their lack of experience. The looks on their bench were "holy ****, how are we doing this, we're going to win". Our celebrations were confident but not over the top or theatric. Our bench, on the other hand, is always a bunch of goofs, but that's the sign of a good team. If your bench isn't engaged, there's an issue.Hate on me if people want. Flopapotomus. Watched some replay. Those fouls are charity given to the hoks out of pity for a bad acting jobSecond half really was some home cooking for them, the difference in quality of the two rosters was just too much for it matter.
Some of the whistles Freeman got vs the no calls on Gilbert going to rim were laugh out loud bad.
I'll have you know, that just because my kids are no longer in diapers, doesn't mean I have to give up my steady supply of sensitive skin baby wipes
