Pollard's comments from today's Tailgate tour stop re: Hoiberg

I think Pollard is just going to keep this speculation going as long as possible so when we get beat by UNI in football the next press release is going to be "Hoiberg agrees mega-deal to stay at ISU".

It would be great if Blum or Chris Williams would weigh in on if they think TJ would get the nod to coach, or they go outside if Fred does leave this summer......challenge extended....

Jamie just wanting to give himself a reason to get back on the message boards. Tonight we will see a thread started by Pollard, list of coaches to replace Hoiberg.. It will be a poll and we can vote.

Interesting tidbit on the Iowa State job in the CBS sports article on the possibility of Thibs to New Orleans to replace Monty Williams: "If Thibodeau and the Bulls, indeed, parted ways, it would set off shockwaves in the coaching business. Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg is widely believed to be the Bulls' preferred replacement, but who would replace him in Ames, Iowa? There's a growing belief that Iowa State would try to lure another Cyclones great from the NBA: Suns coach Jeff Hornacek, currently making less than Hoiberg's average salary with less security than college jobs offer." http://www.cbssports.com/nba/writer...-buzz-is-tom-thibodeau-bound-for-the-big-easy

Hornacek would be the home run replacement hire if Fred were to leave. He had a rough last half of the year in Phx so maybe he would be open to moving on.

That would be a tremendous replacement IMHO.
