Not sure about Iowa, but they're in WI.
My wife worked at Magic Hat for five years. (Me surfing at work back when we lived in VT, calls her up, "Honey they're hiring a QA person at Magic Hat. You should apply". Five years of free beer later, I think that was the best phone call I've ever made) I think their beers were much better back then (2001-2006). They had a stout, a strong ale, an irish red and a vanilla porter that were all excellent. They've cut back on those to concentrate on selling a few varieties that are more mainstream.
