This is Game 3, not Game 1. I have the Louisiana Monroe game from a few years back on my mind. "Trap game" is what I've been hearing all week, but I'm not seeing it.

I don't see Ohio scoring 17, the # that comes up from a couple of staff members and some other predictions.
Connor's 60-3 doesn't actually sound real out of line. I was thinking 35-10, but I can be persuaded to buy into 60-3.
They're just not going to score much. We'll haev a couple of big plays just from having big play guys. It'll be comfortable.

I made this bold prediction in a previous thread:

If that happens we win huge. Probably 42-10 or something like that. Could also be 30-3, 34-7, something in that range. A lot of the betting line will depend on the competitiveness of the game.

I went with 17, just from what's been reported that they most likely have the best offense we will have faced to this point in the season. SEMO put up 10, and probably should have had at least one more score. I think Ohio will score a couple in the first half, then once more in garbage time. Iowa State will probably score at will, assuming guys like X and Noel are full go.
I am in on the over, got it at 47.5. Iowa State should push that alone, without help from Ohio.
I should mention that Oddsshark picked ISU to beat the hoks and the under and also got SEMO correctly.
I selected Ohio to cover, but that's mostly my sports fan paranoia/superstition.
As for over/under, it's something like 48 ... in the weekly Whiskey Pod, @brentblum said it's going to be WAY over, and I trust almost everything Blum says, so ...

I like the Clones by 28 in this one. I think the defense improved a lot from game one, despite the fact that Iowa's offense is not that good. Just see more guys getting to the ball carrier and getting more pressure with just 3-4 guys. Unless the game is on the line the defense will probably not do a lot of blitzing against Ohio. I would like to see them try to get some pressure to get a couple turnovers.
I could see this game being tighter than most expect.
I think there will be a bit of a letdown after last week’s big win, and Ohio’s offense is by far the best one we’ve faced so far this season.
But I didn’t expect us to beat SEMO that bad either, so we’ll probably blow these guys out too.
