Poetic Justice?

I’ve been a Cyclone fan since I was a high school senior, and a shifty little running back named Dexter Green caught my eye in the lead up to the Hall of Fame Bowl.

Immediately after that, things went sour. First, ISU lost to Texas A&M 28-12. I seem to recall that then on the quarter system, some key players were ineligible.

Then things got worse, because Woody Hayes punched a Clemson player.

Look at the key powers nationally today. It would be fitting would it be if the Cyclones won today? How fitting would it be if both Ohio State and Clemson lost today?

As the cherry on top, how fitting would it be if we screwed A&M when all of that happened?

Sigh.

Fittingly, rather than losing several players to ineligibility at semester, ISU just announced 44 academic all Conference players.

Last, but not least, eleven months after Ohio State coach Woody Hayes was fired, and Ohio State alum Earl Bruce went home to coach...a boy named Matt Campbell was born. In Ohio.

Full circle.

Today, they BOTH will win and bring home Conference Championships coupled with the Southern California loss last night and the impending Texas A&M loss @ Tennessee helping pave the way for an Iowa State-Alabama @ Sugar Bowl CFP Semi-Final. Another full circle "AlaCyclone" Style!

I was at that game too in the Cyclone section with my Cyclone gear!

I was at the Independence Bowl vs. Alabama as well with my dad. Concessions ran out of beer after the 1st quarter. They completely underestimated the ISU fans. My dad went to get a couple beers in the 1st quarter and came back with a six pack because he heard they were running low.
