You know how it is with tournaments, some teams lose a single game and get $500k , some lose one game and get $200k, some don't lose at all and earn $1 million, and some potentially win all their games and earn nothing. To be honest, if its being in 4th playing Kansas, Or 5th and playing someone like Auburn, Maryland, Bama, Oregon etc. I will take 5th. I dont want to play a b12 team we are going to play at least 2 more times this year.
It does suck that the system is this way, and they are only paying bonuses to the top 4 though. If it was a true tournament I could understand but this is not a tournament, its some mutant form of something.

I think so. There are 3 unbeatens at MGM and 2 at Mandalay.Ok so with the way things are going it seems like ISU vs Tennessee 6pm tomorrow for 3rd place?
No one knows. I think they are not saying posting anything official so they can pick and choose in the end.Ok so with the way things are going it seems like ISU vs Tennessee 6pm tomorrow for 3rd place?
If the money went to the AD, then I agree. But if guys are missing out on big paydays because the blue blood programs are getting scheduling benefits in these tournaments, is that going to hurt recruiting? Let’s say ISU wins tomorrow and goes 3-0. But another team also goes 3-0 and splits $1m because they played a team like ND instead of SJU. Wouldn’t you be interested in

Can’t argue with you, here. I heard that, just like we’ve heard it’s top 2 in each pod or maybe top 4 overall.Based on what? I’m not saying it’s not possible, but if we don’t know who will even play for the championship, how can you say this with any certainty?
This is verbatim from the rules
The team that finishes in first place in each pod will play each other in the overall Players Era championship game and the team that finishes in second place in each pod will play in the third-place game
Mandalay had only 2 undefeated Right?
The rules though are written by the same people who came up with Big 12 tie breaker rules

OK post the link, I have seen nothing from the official account. Only from articles, And everyone on the TV on the official channels is saying the pod system dont matter. This is verbatim from the rules

Thats not an official rule set, that is an article from a news source that is interpreting them, that has repeatedly been contradicted by the announcers on TV.![]()

The Players Era Festival, an 18-team event being held in Las Vegas, is not a traditional tournament with a bracketed field.www.syracuse.com
You must not be watching the Auburn gameWe can still make the 3rd place game if Auburn wins or Michigan wins AND the winner of Gonzaga/Maryland wins by <8
