You know how it is with tournaments, some teams lose a single game and get $500k , some lose one game and get $200k, some don't lose at all and earn $1 million, and some potentially win all their games and earn nothing.
I think so. There are 3 unbeatens at MGM and 2 at Mandalay.
The 3 teams at MGM cannot play each other or all be included in the final 4

No one knows. I think they are not saying posting anything official so they can pick and choose in the end.
Sure, the guys on the court that go 3-0 this week, but don't play in the championship game, can be annoyed at missing out on some extra cash. But that has nothing to do with a team's future recruiting, or we the fans.
3-0 is 3-0. The team that lucks into the championship game and wins that game is also 3-0. Believe it or not, some additional cash in those player's pockets won't help their conference tourney seed, or March Madness seed.

The team that finishes in first place in each pod will play each other in the overall Players Era championship game and the team that finishes in second place in each pod will play in the third-place game

The rules though are written by the same people who came up with Big 12 tie breaker rules
Can’t argue with you, here. I heard that, just like we’ve heard it’s top 2 in each pod or maybe top 4 overall.
The fact that this sh*t doesn't have a bracket is really dumb.
I'd rather not play Baylor, Kansas, or Houston as we play Baylor and Kansas twice and Houston once in conference play. A win against a quality non-conference opponent would look a lot better on the NCAA tournament resume than another game against someone we will play again in conference.
Not trying to look too far ahead but that Dec 6th game at #1 Purdue is looking really juicy for a chance at a big resume builder.

According to the graphic they keep showing during the game KU is ahead of us. So assuming Gonzaga wins big like michigan we are the 2-0 team left out
OK post the link, I have seen nothing from the official account. Only from articles, And everyone on the TV on the official channels is saying the pod system dont matter.
I hope you are right, but I have not found a link to the official rules. Please post it here for everyone! Because every article says one thing and the TV announcer say the exact opposite.
The Athletic had an article this morning, basically saying this tournament will become the go to tournament for most schools because of how much it costs to fly the teams to Hawaii or down to the Atlantis tournament, anywhere from $250K to $500K. It stated much easier and cheaper to fly and stay in Vegas, and how most schools lose money attending one of the more established ones.
