I agree. Farley was a genius and I enjoy his movies more than Heath Ledgers in general. I'm not even much of a Heath Ledger fan, but his career peaked after he died. His portrayal of the Joker was so brilliant I really would like to see what else he would have done in his career. I would pick him just to see him play that role one more time.

Ledger had brokeback and a lot of very amazing performances before the Joker.

I didn't say he wasn't good before that, just not my cup of tea. You have to agree that Joker was his best performance and put him on a different level though. He didn't win an Oscar for any of his other roles, and the movie was released posthumously.

You're not wrong about that. But it was right in the midst of when he was at the height of his struggles, making all those really bad movies.

Farley is one of those comedic actors who I think could've made the transition and done brilliantly in dramatic roles. Similar to guys like Steve Carell (Foxcatcher), Jim Carrey (Truman Show), Robin Williams (Goodwill, Dead Poet's), even Bill Murray (Lost in Translation). Others might not agree, and I know it's probably hard to picture, but I think Farley was a massive talent, would've had the range, and had the genuineness and soft nature that would've made him pretty compelling in a dramatic role.

Not to derail, but Jim Carey’s turn in Everlasting Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was his best dramatic role, and I just see drama as a bit of a stretch for Farley. Sadly we’ll never know. I see him more like Belushi who sorta pulled off a romantic comedy in Continental Divide.

Nonetheless, this is a good thread.

Initially I was going to go with Robin Williams and Chris Farley but on second thought I decided to not bring back anyone whose death was suicide or drug related. I know those can be the result of mental illness and are certainly tragic and generally way too young but I decided to go with accidental deaths. That leaves me Kobe and I'm not sure who because I don't know who some of the people are. As other people mentioned, I'll take his daughter as the second if she doesn't get included with Kobe. Actually, I'd take her first and Kobe second.

Paul Walker died in a car crash, Brittany Murphy has a lot of conspiracies around her death.
