Finally got a chance to see this kid play last night. Why the heck haven't we offered him again??? 6'3" 215, athletic and physical. Could play any number of positions. Iowa has offered--how come we haven't?

I know a guy that went to high school once upon a time. He was 6'4"/215 lbs as a senior. He wasn't offered a scholarship from ISU (let alone any other school).

We are saving that schollie for a 5'7" DB from Florida.

Uh...congratulations for your pointless post. Seriously, why waste time and bandwidth with crap like that?

I hope this doesn't end up like the Van Sloten situation, another kid from that area that we passed on--which was even worse considering he was a legacy. Huge whiff there as well but that's not on the current staff, obviously.

Meh, with our coaching Sloten probably would've ended up looking worse than Lichtenberg

He also hasn't played anybody this year. Sure he looks big and physical when the opposing teams dline goes 5'9" 200#.

LOL. Wrong. And not only that, these kids attend football camps where they are evaluated against everyone.

BTW, if "NH" in your name stands for "New Hampton" one of the New Hampton assistants coaches told me personally that this kid is legit. But I guess you're smarter than Frerichs, Boyd, etc. Not to mention two head coaches who beat us in JT this year.

Take it easy buddy. My comment had no bearing on how "legit" he might be in college, he's obviously very talented. I was just pointing ou the district he plays in is awful other than the top 3 teams or so and they're very small across the board. He'll have an opportunity to make a lot of believers in the playoffs this season, as they should make a good run, likely pending the rematch of last night's game.

Thanks for the congrats! I'm glad you appreciated my assistance in having you take notice of the obvious lack of meaningful arguments you made as to why we should show interest in a high school athlete.

A recruitment-related thread was started with the only information being the fact this kid has grown to be over 6' tall (congrats to his genetics!). I know sarcasm can make some quite emotional, so if this is the case, my most sincere apologies.

It's 2-A football. Hesse would be the only even half-decent football player on the field between either of the 2 teams playing.
