Our guys wouldn't shake hands?

This is being blown out of proportion, but I hope this isn't true.

You got BEAT by a CUSA team in the first round. Physically, mentally, and fundamentally. Be a man, and congratulate the other team. I don't want them to play poorly AND be poor-sports.

From everything I saw on tv we were actually good sports. And the post game interviews from our players and Fred gave plenty of credit to UAB. Don't know why you think we didn't man up after the game. We did.

Two guys decide to soak their hair in cat ****, would you wanna hang around them for more than 1 game if you were their teammate? I don't think so.

Season Over.

Us as fans can celebrate a successful season and Big 12 Tourney Championship, but ultimately this team looked like they could give 2 ***** about this game, so win or lose why should I?

At least we have football season to look forward to....errrrr.....

something happened between the tourney and that game. don't know what happened but the whole team looked mad at each other. not a good look considering the week they just had (maybe the best collective week in recent ISU basketball history)

What happened was Hilton Magic couldn't bail them out this time. Other than winning on the road vs. TCU, a team we should not have had to come back on, all the other comebacks happened with ISU fan support. Getting into big dificits in that many games in a row is an indication something was not jelling, as it had with Fred's previous teams.

We're not good enough yet to win just because we're ISU. We've won with team work, hustle, and intelligent play, none of which were to be today.

I would honestly be surprised if any long-time cyclone fan went in thinking this was an automatic win. I know I didn't - too much history and torture to think anything is automatic.

Maybe automatic was a little strong, but I've been a Clone fan for over 40 years and though I know anything can happen in a game, and UAB has a history of some success in the NCAA, I really thought our chances of losing were very slim. We had so much momentum and won the #1 rpi rated conference tournament without even playing two good halves in a game to do it. We're also used to Fred's teams always playing well in the NCAA tournament, and predictions for this team were thru the roof. I'm really more surprised by this loss than the Hampton loss as that team was running on empty going into the NCAA. I'll admit I was overconfident and I suspect I'm not the only one by far, and even though I'm sure the coaches were warning against it, I think the players probably bought into some of the media and fan hype too. I'll give credit to UAB, they were better than I expected and showed anything can happen in a one and done, especially when they hang around long enough to put a lot of pressure on a heavy favorite.

It's called sportsmanship...gotta keep some of it around.

And no one has any proof that any of our players didnt show sportsmanship except for a tweet of one asshat sportswriter. Of course that doesn't stop some in here from going with it, assuming the worst and attacking our players.

Did nobody notice this after the Kansas State game? Morris and McKay did the same thing and just walked into the tunnel.

Plaschke is one of several reasons that I can't watch Around The Horn. I had ISU making the Elite 8 in all of my brackets. I had them beating Iowa in the Sweet 16 in all of those brackets as well. I'm an Iowa fan and I still thought this ISU team would make a deep run. That's a rough way to go out no way around it, but I think ISU's team will make a deep run next season. You return almost everyone that matters and add a couple nice pieces as well. You guys had a great season. This is not the ending anyone wants, but hold your heads high and look forward to what should be an even better season next season.

Most of the guys stuck around. I was right above the ISU tunnel, there were only 3 guys that left right away. Georgios (felt bad for him, kid was in tears) and Dustin for sure, the third may have been McKay but I'm not positive.

It wasn't just a tweet, Andy and Murph briefed on it and Randy wrote about it

And as Randy points out, those.players.would have had to wait for the UAB players to stop falling all over themselves in the middle of the court shake hands. And I know I saw some of them congratulate the players they were standing next to on the court, and Georges talking to Haase. Point is you weren't there, and certainly don't have enough to go on to call them out for lack of sportsmanship. Randy doesn't accuse them of that. I don't know how Murphy and Andy had any thing to go off of but that one tweet. My previous post still stands.

Oh the clever you weren't there so you can't discuss about it...Okay buddy. Also the poster above you was there so your post actually doesn't stand anymore. Idk why you think it is so wrong to want players to show sportsmanship win or lose but whatever I do and that's my opinion and you have your own.

I'm saying claiming our guys are poor sports because a few players walked off the court while the other team is storming the court is bs. Also, don't call me buddy... "pal". Lol, gotta love the internet tough guys.
