So, expanding on that 22-year Big 12 Tourney Champion run for former Big 8 members looks pretty good if KU knocks out Texas tonight. I'm perfectly fine with that. I really would love to win tomorrow night and then beat KU in the Championship game!
Huh. Didn't see that coming. Huggins has them playing well now. Probably too little too late, but a strong finish for sure.
I know you didn’t, but many were too low on WVU. They’ve been depleted all year, which led to their main guards being freshmen. Now that McCabe is competent and the locker room issues removed, they’re a tough out.
It never materialized, but add the talent (and not the headaches) of Ahmad, Harris, Bolden, and Konate to that team, and it’s understandable that they were ranked to start the season.
Gotta question Beard’s coaching ability and ttu’s toughness after that. What is his record in elimination games?
I agree and I’m guilty of this, but I’m still not convinced they don’t hit a wall tomorrow. Nice win against Tech, but last nights win for them against a not very good OU team was not at all surprising. West Virginia will be much improved next year though.
He didn't even win it out right and then he follows it up by losing to the last place team in the quarterfinals with a first round NBA draft pick. Unacceptable.
He finished 5 games ahead of the team Fran Frachilla called the most talented team in the Big 12 this morning.
Which makes this loss even tougher to swallow. Is there something going on behind the scenes?
And, in the TOs he just told them they had to play harder. No specifics on what they needed to do to stop Mathews and the 10th Seed Boys. Just kept looking over at the HuggyBear! Terrible coaching. Will probably head to LSU now.....
