Kratz? That guy is disgusting on many fronts. Zellner refers to him as "Sweaty" frequently, which is appropriately descriptive.

My wife got me watching late in the first season and I was so hooked that I ran through the second in a week.

I'm really not sure what to think of it:
With the oral arguments at the 7th District, I got the feeling that some of the justices came in with a biased assumption that Brendan was guilty and that really cross-questioning just turned into a trapping game, especially when they questioned Nirider on what the interrogators could have done better.

I think Barbara has really aged from stress, you can tell it's been hard on her. If it were true that Bobby is behind it, I think she'd be crushed.

Thought I'd bump this thread, as I recently watched all of Season 2 and it is still very fresh in my mind.

While I cannot eliminate Avery as the killer 100%, I find it extremely hard to believe that he did it, regardless of the prosecution's evidence. This killing was covered up extremely well. No blood evidence, save for in the vehicle. No body, only the charred remnants of bones. No real motive.

If this was Avery's first attempt at murder, he is either a savant or very lucky. How he managed to slash a woman's throat, shoot her in the head, dispose of the body by burning it, and leave little to no evidence behind simply boggles the mind. I don't conceive of him as remotely qualified to carry it off.

I'm going to start making a list of questionable testimony and evidence in this crime, and balance it against what credible evidence the prosecution actually had. I have a feeling - especially after seeing what Zellner has - that it will be completely uneven.

A couple things that were revealed in Season 2 that tilt that imbalance even further are the evidence that Halbach's vehicle was seen leaving the Avery property (by Bobby Dassey), and also seen parked near a bridge some distance away. This would seem to refute the theory that Avery killed her on his property, and put her body in the vehicle.

There's just way too much stuff that doesn't add up here. We may never know the real truth, but I'd bet the killer is still loose (if he hasn't died already).

Agree. IMO, no way Avery did it. Totally framed.

Weak and blatantly idiotic attempt at an argument.

But whhhhyyyy aren’t NBA basketball players putting his name on their jersey? He has a Netflix documentary and everything!!!!

What a random attempt to tie this to that issue. Aside from the total failure in basic logic, did you really think that was a legitimate argument? And what was your motivation at the attempted thread hi jack? There are other threads where you can make nonsensical arguments because you are angry that basketball players are speaking out against police brutality and killings.

Not exactly sure.
I dont think Avery did it, if you think about the way she was supposedly murdered and the location how did 2 guys that stupid clean up every single drop of blood? The only evidence are the bones which would be pretty easy to plant there. The car? The Ex Boyfriend is the prime suspect in my opinion.

Several people have researched the case and say there is a lot of evidence that was never presented in the miniseries to make better drama. I honestly have no idea if he is guilty or not, but from what is posted (and you know everything on the internet is true), many people would have a lot different opinion if all the information that was presented a trial was presented in the minseries.

I introduced my dad to the series a few months ago and he likes talking about it (2 years late, I know). I think Avery may have killed her but there is a 0.00% chance it happened the way the prosecution said it did.

Yeah, the people who have only seen the mini series are getting a partial story. One that was certainly toldthe way it was for a reason. Lots of things were done wrong by the authorities but it’s also really likely that Avery is the murderer. The two aren’t mutually exclusive.

This is my assessment of it as well. Nephew probably got hosed, Avery is likely guilty but the cops were no saints and did a lot of things they shouldn't have because they didn't have the evidence they needed.
