So I'm sitting here watching Road Trip on ESPNU and they're in Oregon this week. I knew they have a crap ton of different uniform combinations but good lord. They just showed eight different cleat variations that the team has. Seriously that's an entirely different shoe for almost every game of the season. At what point is it just too much?

Cool story bro, I know, but I still think its crazy that they have that many different uniforms

Haters gonna hate..
I work for the athletic department at Oregon and the different crazy uniforms are part of the culture out here. Fans debate what's gonna be worn every week, and on gameday its an event when the team comes out on the field for the first time.
Also recruits love it, and when trying to bring 5 Star athletes to rainy Eugene everything helps.

I don't think its as hard to bring a 5 star recruit to rainy Eugene, Oregon over the vast cornfields of Iowa....

For the record, I'm not complaining and I've known for a long time that they have a ton of uniforms and, frankly, I think most of them are pretty cool. I just think its crazy (not crazy as in stupid) that they literally have over three hundred uniform combinations.

My bad..haters gonna hate was more about the general public's view on our uniforms. Alot of their old jerseys combos have been auctioned off for charities or sold to the public here in Eugene.

Never, when recruiting teenage boys. I'm over 40 and I love it even though some are complete fails. It's like they spin a wheel and wear what comes up. If I was a kid I'd probably be drawn to that like a moth to light.

Not to mention that their offense is like watching Clark Griswold riding a sled lathered in non-caloric, silicon-based kitchen lubricant.

If your school doesn't have tradition, you need a gimmick. I'm not taking away from Oregon, it's genius. I love their uni's (all of them). Maryland on the other hand, they came out and failed hard.
