Optimal Morning Tailgate Food

One popular thing we've done in the past for breakfast tailgates is omelettes-in-a-bag.

Crack some eggs into a plastic sandwich bag. Add meat, peppers, onions, cheese, whatever to the bag. Drop in a boiling pot of water for a few minutes until the eggs are cooked. Enjoy.

Breakfast burritos are usually a hit. You could even make them ahead of time and just warm them up on game day.
Thats what i used to do. Just scramble a bunch of eggs w some ham. Roll them up in a tortilla with shredded cheese. Then roll that up in a piece of tinfoil.
Throw them on the grill for a bit, the tortilla gets cruchy the cheese melts. Delish.

Good amount of prep the night before but piece of cake on gameday.

We did this once long ago, using Bison meet for omelette-in-a-bag before the North Dakota State game. We are way overdue to do it again. Thanks for the reminder.

Sausage and gravy biscuits and breakfast sammys.

I second the sausage and gravy suggestion. The pro move would be to take biscuits out of the can, and cut them into bite sized pieces before baking. That way people don’t have to worry about how to cut up a biscuit while standing perhaps without having a knife.

Going the biscuit and gravy route. Friends are bringing Krispy Kreme’s and Casey’s B-Pizza. Wife is making an egg/hashbrown/sausage bake.

Plan on splitting the biscuits, then butter them and onto the flattop. Going to add some maple sugar to the gravy for a maple flavor.

Breakfast casserole is a good choice. You can make it up the day before in disposable aluminum pan and cook it before or at the tailgate depending on your setup. Can make it as big or small as you need, stays warm fairly well and cleanup is a trash can. Of course some form of a Bloody Mary is a must, no matter the occasion.

Best food for an early kick time. What is it?
Made 50 breakfast burritos last night. We do pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, etc.. If in a pinch, we just get Casey's Breakfast pizzas.

Oh, and we always get donuts from Bricktown Bakery in Nevada. Absolutely the best donuts I have ever had and the rest of their stuff is amazing too.

(fire up grill)

1. Muffin tin
2. Put sausages in tin and cook (Swaggertys style round patties)
3. Remove sausages, crack egg into grease
4. Butter English muffins and toast on grill
5. Remove every thing, assemble with a slice of cheese

What equipment are you working with?
not a lot
