On That Note: TV Party Tonight!

Mojo Nixon - Perry Mason of Love

You know, some people ask me what kind of lover I am
They say, "Mojo, are you the Gilligan of love?" I say, "No"
They say, "Mojo, are you the Jethro Bodine of love?" I say, "uh-uh"
They say, "Mojo, you might be the F Troop of love." I say, "no way"

Duran Duran's "Too Much Information" includes verses that begin "Destroyed by MTV...", "Destroyed by ABC...", "Destroyed by BBC...".

George Michael's "Freedom 90" mentions "Rock n roll TV" and "the boys on MTV".

I used this one just a couple weeks ago, but here it is again: Barbara Mandrell's "Operator Long Distance Please" which has "I don't like TV" in the first verse.

So many B-Boys options. A couple of songs we already posted, here’s a catch-all for others, still probably doesn’t cover all the bases.

“And you’ll be pullin’ a train like you’re Captain Kirk.”

“Pull up at the function and you know I Kojak.”
“So I'm supposed to sit upon my couch, watching my TV.”

Mannix .. Barnaby Jones … Columbo … Cannon

“I go to sleep watching ‘Dragnet.’” … “they call me Mr. Roper”

“I got more spice than ‘The Frugal Gourmet.’” …
