I feel like "Don't Let Me Down" is consistently the most underrated Beatles song, so glad to see several here having it high on their list with other legendary songs.

John had that soulful almost R&B side that was part of what made the Beatles stand out among their imitators and that song probably has more of it than any song he ever recorded.

3 of your top 10 are in my top 5. That's pretty good. We obviously greatly disagree as to which Ringo song is "dreadful."

Ringo's solo hits are much better than his Beatles vocal songs...of course they were basically George creating at his absolute peak.

My ranking, 1-28. A couple of clips included that haven’t been posted. A few positions could be swapped, given my mood.

1. Rain
2. Strawberry Fields Forever
3. I Saw Her Standing There
4. Day Tripper
5. Revolution

6. I'm Down -- A ripoff of Little Richard? Yep. But damed-good thievery.

7. I Am the Walrus
8. Don't Let Me Down
9. Eleanor Rigby
10. I Should Have Known Better

11. Come Together
12. Old Brown Shoe … on my Top 10 Underrated Beatles Songs list.

13. She's A Woman (I might put it higher, if not for the dumb rhyme of "give me presents/she’s no peasant”)
14. You Can't Do That
15. This Boy

16. What Goes On
17. The Inner Light … my favorite “Sitar-era George” track
18. There's A Place
19. I Don't Want to Spoil the Party
20. You Know My Name (Look Up the Number) … From the “Only The Beatles Could Get Away With This” file. This screams “bottom 5,” but (somewhat like “Revolution 9”) its audacity elevates it for me.
21.For You Blue … I like this more in context of “Let it Be” than I do as a standalone.
22. Baby You’re A Rich Man .. sounds like Lennon trying hard not to try too hard.
23. P.S. I Love You … pleasant, but sloppy and forgettable.
24. Thank You Girl
25. Yes It Is
26. Ask Me Why
27. I'll Get You
28. Act Naturally

Whereas the She's A Woman rhyme bothers you and thus you lower it's ranking - I have the same issue - and did the same thing with "I'm Down." I have an irrational dislike of attempting to rhyme "Down" with "Ground."

My friend and I are obsessed with the Miley Cyrus song where she rhymes "Crazy" and "Famous". Not fans of her music, but we obsess over trying to repeat those words and make them rhyme.

Hah, obviously I was willing to overlook that oddity for my ranking.

Revised lyric:
"How can you laugh / when you know I'm Ground?" :D

I'm really down, 'cuz you make me frown
or
I'm really down, stains on my gown
or
I'm really down, fell 'n broke my crown

Something something that word's a noun.

Reminds me of:

Not included in the clip but right after it, Homer says, "It practically writes itself."

There were really only 4 that stood out about the rest. 1-3 are so close to each other on my list depending on the day any could go up or down.

1. Come Together - Gets number 1 mainly do to that iconic opening sound at the beginning
2. I Saw Her Standing There
3. Eleanor Rigby
4. Revolution

For the Beatles aficionados in this thread I would be highly curious to see you rank the A sides? I know for me that would be incredibly tough and I'm a more casual Beatles fan.

I probably take for granted that song intro/refrain

Challenge accepted. :)
