The Tubes, Talk to Ya Later

[Chorus]
Talk to ya later—don’t want to hear it again tonight
Talk to ya later—just save it for another guy
Talk to ya later—don’t want to hear it again tonight
I’ll just see you around

The Velvet Underground, Rock & Roll

Then one fine mornin' she turns on a new york station
She doesn't believe what she hears at all
Ooh, she started dancin' to that fine fine music
You know her life is saved by rock 'n' roll,

As much airplay as this got I am surprised it didn't get posted as a lyrics choice. BTW, I hated the version. Not the style, just the weirdness of a guy singing a women's part. JFC, at least change the lyrics to "I got a fast car".

You got a fast car
I got a plan to get us out of here
I been working at the convenience store
Managed to save just a little bit of money
Won't have to drive too far

The Beatles, Eleanor Rigby

Eleanor Rigby
Died in the church and was buried along with her name
Father McKenzie
Wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved

Chris Rea, Fool (If You Think It's Over)

The pains of 17s
Unreal they're only dreams
Save your cryin' for the day

Simon and Garfunkel, My Little Town

I never meant nothin', I was just my father's son
Savin' my money
Dreamin' of glory
Twitchin' like a finger on the trigger of a gun
