Both Nebraska and Minnesota are "protected" rivals for the hoks...it's a killer schedule.

Was that announced before Washington and Oregon joined? It seems like they’ll have to change that schedule. With 17 opponents I don’t see how Iowa can play 3 protected rivals every year. In a 9 game schedule that leaves 6 games to play 14 teams. 1 protected rival makes sense so you have 8 games to play 16 teams and can face everyone every other season or twice in 4 years. I doubt the B1G goes to 10 conference games. Any news on this?

Anyone else flip back and forth between this game and FLA/Utah? I did for the first half, then committed to FLA/Utah because it was night and day difference in quality. We may suck this year, but MN and NE both suck massive balls. Every forward pass was a challenge. I think Utah is pretty good and FLA may suck again, but that game at least had athletes making plays, runs after catches, etc. The Big 10 west is a horrible joke. Only force fed on the masses because of the media bias.

Both games sucked. Florida was terrible. Akron looked like D2 team against Central Florida. Central Florida looks pretty good but Akron was awful.
