Who was the guy with the hat on next to Fellers on the South side? Was really into Gilman/Ortega.

125- B+. I thought this was the best Perryman has looked in the lineup. Has 2 great takedowns in the 1st and then just got overmatched by a superior wrestler the rest of the way. Ethan is small for 125 and would probably be a pretty solid 118 pounder if that was a weight class, but he is what he is for 125. Good effort, just got over matched in the end. Hopefully we can get Kysen back before Big 12s, but he had a pretty big brace on this weekend.

133- B. Evan looked a step slow in the first period and Witcraft had a great game plan with working to mitigate Evan's hand control with locking fingers. You could tell Witcraft was trying to avoid Evan's tie ups and operate from space as much as he could, and it got him a takedown when Evan got frustrated in the 1st. Evan just kept grinding and got a great takedown in the 2nd straight into a tilt and almost got a takedown at the end of the 3rd for the major. Overall a solid match from Evan- not his best but not his worst. Looking at the 133 rankings, there isn't anyone on the list that I think is clearly in a tier above Evan right now. We'll see what the brackets look like, but Evan feels like a sleeper finalist pick at 133 this year.

141- A. Jacob is doing everything he can to make Dresser's decision difficult on going with Ech over him the rest of the season. Wrestles almost identical to Evan- solid through the entire match, great leg defense, great leg attacks, great mat wrestling. Jacob is an AA contender, and keeps improving the more matches he gets. I know that he has been majored twice by Happel, but if they wrestle again I wouldn't bet against Jacob with how he is wrestling.

149- B+. Paniro was aggressive for most of the match and that first takedown was sweet. Should've had another takedown in the 2nd, but Young just hit a sweet move to avoid it. If we can keep getting aggressive Paniro, I think he AAs this year. He's athletic enough and talented enough to make a run in March.

157- B+. Really solid match from Chittum. Sure, Fish probably had a takedown in the 3rd, but I also thought it was pretty clear locked hands in the 2nd that the refs also didn't overturn. Cody looked a little tired in the 3rd, but he kept grinding and found a way to win. Excited for his rematch vs Downey in Feb.

165- B. Riggins wrestled tough against a very tough opponent and avoided the major. Riggins is looking better at 165 than he did at 174. While he probably won't AA, I think he could steal a spot at Big 12s.

174- C. I strongly believe Hamiti is an NCAA finalist this year and is a different wrestler than he was at 165 in Wisconsin. He's got significantly better training partners in Stillwater, is at a more comfortable weight, and is looking a lot like his head coach on the mat. MJ won't qualify a spot for NCAA, but I think he will steal a spot at Big 12s (especially as he continues to get healthier and works with St. John on his leg attacks).

184- C. I was hoping to keep this to a decision, but Plott is tough. Dresser hinted that Evan has been under the weather, and he seemed a bit tired out there (and did Friday too). He's still a top 12-15 guy at 184 and has a chance to be an AA. Berge (SDSU), Heller (Pitt), and Hawks (Mizzou) will be good tests to see where Evan truly is as far as being an AA contender at 184.

197- B. Bartelt has some punk to him and wasn't backing down from Surber. He's got some slick moves and I think he's got a very bright future, but it has to be at 184. He is small for 197, but has a chance to be a very good 184. Hopefully the knee injury isn't too serious as Sawyer could really use the summer to train and develop before we need him next year.

Hwt- C. Hendrickson is a different animal. Herrera is still competing well at Hwt for a true freshman during what was supposed to be his redshirt year. I think he will be in Philly and that would be a great year for Peanut.
