Just a friendly reminder to the birthers in this thread that we're 1-4, with losses to three ranked teams and the three-time defending FCS champs that have beaten five straight FBS teams. Not an excuse, but how did you expect them to do against that lineup? If by some miracle we get close to a bowl game I hope you all eat crow, especially the OP for insinuating we leave a conference and rivals we've played against for many decades.
I would love to agree. But what part of our record during the last 3 years or so indicates otherwise?
You obviously didn't read and just assumed what the OP posted. He is trolling, but he said he wants to leave the conference because of the controversial calls.
Our best hope would be for 6, 12 team conferences to be created. That puts the count at 72 teams and I think we would be fine getting into a conference. If it comes down to 4, 16 team leagues, I will get a little worried about where we would end up.

This is one major reason. Nebraska also claims Texas getting all the breaks and say in decisions is a reason. Similar to what what Pollard was saying I suppose. But in my opinion it was their job to stay and fight the fight instead of run like cowards and leave little ole Iowa State to fight it. Spiderman said it best, "With great power comes great responsibility."
A harlot accepts money in order to be used as an animal. If the only reason to stay in the Big XII is to get money, then you are lowering ISU to be a harlot begging for scraps.
What would be the worst that could happen if ISU shook off these shackles?

I disagree, sports are important. The field is a great venue for great witness. Tim Tebow knew this and brought great glory to Florida. ISU can be the same torch.

I could care less if we go to the MAC. Those teams at least can get to a bowl game. I have been an ISU fan for some time and would enjoy seeing the team succeed on occasion. Forget the money, we have all the facilities and money we need. If we need to cut womens diving team, so be it.
