125 - I like Stevo against McCrone, think he might struggle if it’s Bouzakis. Give me Stevo 3-0.
133 - this one will be fun. Davino is a stud, Frost is a hammer. Won’t overreact to this one either way, but Davino might be my pick to win it all. 3-3
141 - the only guy at 141 that I think Ech won’t beat. 3-6.
149 - I like either J Frost or Paniro here 6-6
157 - great match up, Cannon is a big 57 and hopefully Zerban is healed up from what was bothering him in Vegas. Zerban beat him at NCAA’s last year, think this one is similar 9-6
165 - guessing it’s Riggins, Paddy is hard to score on but it’s a winnable match. 9-9
174 - Kharchla a bad match up for MJ. Would need an Iowa dual type of match from him. 9-12
184 - should be a low scoring, 1 TD match, hope our guy is on the right side of it. 9-15
197 - Rocky, needs to push for bonus here 12-15
285 - riding with Yonger. 15-15

This dual could break so many different ways. They have hammers. But so do we. Could easily come down to bonus points. Not many teams are going to knock out both little frosty AND Ech. Rocky needs to put on a show, could go a long way.
Feels like ISU needs to split 125-149 and have it be 6-6 at least. Don't see much of a path without a massive upset if we go down early
Iowa State +7 on Circa. I got us at +10 this morning.

Ratings for respective participants are very close at nearly every weight, but this is a great challenge for our boys, but also a great opportunity for them as well. I am excited as I will be in attendance - a rare occasion for me.

I would be happy with a win but also could see Ohio State walking away with a decent gap.
About 6 (maybe 7) matches are straight up 50/50 flips. 125, 133, 149, 157, 165 & 184. I think 141 easily leans OSU, 197/285 leans Iowa State.
If Dresser & Co. want to win, they're going to need Elam & Bastida to win and probably a bonus point somewhere in the six 50/50 matches.
The question will be, do we see ducks? I think Mendez will come out regardless but we have already seen Dresser not wrestle a couple of the guys in the CKLV finals, do we see it again?

With Dresser again hinting at injuries, I have to assume 49, 57 & 65 are question marks. A win vs tOSU will be just about impossible if our starters can't go. If J Frosty can go at 49, do we see Kane or Paniro at 57 if Vinny is out? I'd love to watch Connor vs Paddy and hope we get to see that show.
I don’t think having backups will hurt us too much. Riggins is not much of any drop off from Euton. He can beat Paddy.
Paniro majored Cannon last year. Paniro will be fine filling in at either 49 or 57.
If both of Frost and Zerban anre out, that is where we’d have a big problem.

Kane would have an uphill battle against Cannon.
I think Paniro can and will beat Stiles.
Also think Riggins would have a punchers chance at beating Paddy but wouldn’t predict it.
I'm nervous about 125 and 133, especially if Bouzakis goes. We really need to get 1 of those matches. OSU are gamers and so are we. Should be a lot of fun to watch
Obviously OSU is the headlining dual but Lehigh is not going to be a slouch, and it sounds like Stanich could be back for them giving them a top 10 guy at 141.

It was my understanding that Crookham & Stanich would not be wrestling until second semester, or at least that is how I read it through a post on X.
Very well could be. Just heard the Quad Pod guys saying they heard mid December for Stanich.
