Sorry, last thoughts after reading this thread:
  1. I think it’s totally unfair to come at Lard for laughing on the bench. People handle situations differently. When I get uncomfortable or beaten down, I often start laughing or just being silly. It’s just my nature. We don’t know. Pinning any of the problems with this team on one guy, when it’s clearly program wide issue, is totally unfair. Especially considering the fact that again, there is only one guy being paid millions of dollars to make sure this thing runs right.
  2. Some people loved Jacobsen going at THT. I’m sorry you might like it but if people come at me like that, you better be handling your own business, and as much as you like Jacobsen he was getting absolutely ABUSED on the boards and defense last night. He played 21 minutes and had one rebound.
  3. The fire Prohm talk is just dumb, because it’s not going to happen and shouldn’t happen. THAT SAID, he’s going to be on very thin ice going forward. This kind of meltdown people just don’t forget. If there are a bunch of defections and the team ends up terrible again next year, that’s 100% on him. And at that point, like it or not, we’re in the McDermott zone where the entire fanbase is just waiting for him to be fired.
  4. The true fan talk is just so exhausting. You know what? If you want to call me not a true fan, or a bad fan, or whatever, that’s fine. If it were up to me I’d just sell all my tickets for Saturday and take the fam to Captain Marvel or something. But my wife things we owe it to Shayok and Babb to go and support them. She’s as disappointed as anybody. But she absolutely loves the Clones and I couldn’t be more thankful for that. All that said, I honestly can’t envision a scenario where we win another game this year. I’d be absolutely shocked if we did. With Tech coming to town with a title on the line, I can’t see us keeping it within 20. Please prove me wrong Clones.

1) no one was pinning everything on Lard, they were just using that as an example

2) I can go both ways on this - I am glad someone looks half-way interested in being a leader, but I agree with Jacobsen hasn't been perfect himself either. THT's body language was puke-worthy last night and needed to be called out by someone.

3) I think the fire Prohm talk is warranted - it's not about the wins and losses necessarily at this point, I think we all would have taken the outcome of this season at the beginning of the year. This is about the fact that he has completely lost the locker room and the culture of this team/program is in a really bad place right now. This is a team that will make the NCAA tournament, but they are acting like a team that can't wait for the season to get over so they can move on to other things.

I can't remember the quote exactly, but it reminds me of the CPR quote he had about if you have one jackass you're okay, but once you get two jackasses it becomes a jackass farm.
Yep, he said that is what Chip Kelly taught him. I think a big problem for this team is that the top dogs are the problem. When your leaders are playing for themselves, it does not turn out well. I think the freshman class (mainly Conditt and Haliburton, haven't seen enough of Zion but I think he'll be great in 2 years) and junior classes are here for the right reasons. Hopefully next year has been leadership.

I just don't know. It's hard to believe that they can turn things around at this point. It's not just the losing; it's the body language and attitude coming from the players. Nobody looks like they want to be out there.

The fire Prohm talk is not warranted outside of over reacting fans. So if you're one of those go ahead and waste your time talking about it. Prohm's seat doesn't even get hot until after next season if next season goes really bad. So if you want to continually whine about something that's not even remotely possible for a couple seasons go at it.

Spot on regarding item #2. You wanna show that you care? Find a better way than further embarrassing this team and this fanbase on national TV. You wanna show how tough you are? BOX OUT AND GRAB A ******* REBOUND!

All would require caring...which isn't there.

#2. Leadership isn’t about having the most rebounds or being the best player. Jacobson wasn’t going at THT for missing a board, he was getting on him for not getting to the team huddle.

The talk is premature, although reasonable. We’re approaching a crossroads and visible is a path in which his program stalls. But what if they rally and reach the Sweet 16? If we see three more performances like the last two, it becomes important to not repeat 2017-18 next year, but if any positive happens in the next few weeks and the tournament is reached next year, all is good

People losing their minds.

This team was picked to finish 6th in the Big 12. Everyone out there acts like this team was destined for Minneapolis.

We had a few solid wins there and everyone's expectations SKYROCKETED to the moon. The talent is there, yes.

We were a projected bubble team going into this year. In fact, most of you probably said we'd be a bubble team or not even make the tournament. We'll that was proved wrong. We're beyond a bubble team and much better than most of you probably said we'd be coming into the season.

It's unreal how quick a fan base, who by the way, is known for being so "loyal" to turn so quickly on a team that didn't have championship expectations going into the season.

All of you earn 5 upside down poop emojis.

Well hopefully we can snag him then lol....his record vs ISU and specifically Prohm is pretty darn good.

But then we would have to start complaining that we can't beat Okie St. Drew has lost to them eight consecutive times. The horror!

Y’all are damn sad, acting like we’re Duke with some right to 30 wins a season. A month ago people were calling Prohm amazing, now the same people are saying he’s killed our storied program.

This is the kind of roller coaster **** that gives fan bases bad raps and is just downright ******* stupid. Being frustrated is perfectly understandable, but most of you give up and blame the world when the slightest issue arises.

Every team and program has growing pains. Prohm has brought in more talent than any coach we’ve ever had, obviously that talent hasn’t bought in and learned to play for each other and the program.

Get your **** together or log off. If you can’t handle a single bad month of basketball, you might as well turn your life to something other than college athletics of any type.

Act like we’ve been here before. Because we have. Act like we’ve been through a college basketball season before.

When the players are lost, the coach is down and searching how do we react? We react like they are our ENEMIES. Like they are trying to hurt us.

Keep in mind, I’m an alum, I’m a donor, I’ve been an ISU fan my entire life. My grandparents have had basketball season tickets for 40 years + so maybe it’s too much to ask to have a majority of people to act like adults. Everything doesn’t have to be a referendum in the HC.

I’ve never been a Prohm guy I think it was a huge mistake not to keep continuity from Fred and hire TJ but a lot of the same posters melting down didn’t want that because they are sheep and they bah bah bah about “we have to get someone with HC experience!” .he is what we have and because of all those things noted above I will have his back in as positive of a way that I can.

When we start consistently missing the NCAA tourney, consistently place at the bottom of the league and I see the recruiting classes and transfers coming in starting to slide then I’ll go crazy.
You know Gunner, sometimes you post some really weird, odd, and sometimes dumb stuff, but then you go and spout off this actually intelligent, rational, and reasonable thought...

I'm just not expecting any more wins this season and if we exceed that expectation I'll be pleasantly surprised.

No doubt there will be defection this off-season, I just hope we are left with enough pieces that we can bring in enough talent to not have next season be a waste.

Loyal sons, forever true. Remember those words? We sing them all the time.

That is why I will be there on Saturday, for the seniors. I don't expect a turnaround, but they have surprised us before.

I pretty much agree with all of that incredibly long post.

No one here knows enough to come at individual players for attitude, behavior, being a team player etc. Welcome to criticize on court play.

Hopefully the dire predictions of defections don’t come to pass. If they do, the 2019 class better be much closer to (fans) high expectations than their national rankings.

Agree. No chance that we are a 7 seed by Selection Sunday.

While I agree that we don't look like a 7 seed, the fact is we still have a better resume than a **** ton of teams that are in the current 7-10 seed range. In fact, in both Lunardi's and Palm's updated brackets today, after the WVU loss, they didn't even drop us. Still the same seeds, 5 and 7, respectively.

We have two games left for sure, both against top 35 NET teams. We aren't going to drop if we lose both. At all.

You cant be serious with this? Its not about what our seed will be and its surely not about being happy we will probably be in the tournament. Its the fact that all the big wins they did get and all the hard work put in is now being destroyed. Its a huge difference between "just not being that good" and "Having a ton of talent/potential and just pissing it away". There are bad attitudes on this team and that has snowballed, our coach hasn't done enough to fix it. I have zero faith we win another game this year .....that's the difference.

This. I think this is called 'reading the press clippings'. I'm afraid that many of our fans and some of our players have been reading some of the 'outside noise' daily.
