Let's get on the "good" side of the FT attempts tonight...and PLEASE let's make the front end of 1:1s.

And with that being said, let's also be cautious with our own fouling...can't have someone meaningful have to sit with a bulk of the first half left.

Why do I have a TERRIBLE pit in my stomach about this game... Maybe it's from getting hurt at the KSU game 10 days ago
The phrase "must win" has probably been over used the last couple weeks, but it's getting very close to that point. We thought KSt was, but then they nullified that loss with a win at TCU. From a tournament perspective, they could still lose tonight, then win 2 of their last 3, but obviously one would have to come on the road.

Technically they could lose their next 2, and still win their last 2 over Okie St and Baylor, but I don't think anyone wants the pressure of having to win in Waco to be comfortably in the tournament.

I will say tonight feels like a must win if they want to continue their momentum, and regain some Hilton Magic.

You guys say this but I've never had anything but the finest hospitality from the hillbillies.

I had a long conversation with a couple sitting next to me a few weeks ago in Morgantown.

They seemed genuinely thankful I'd drive three hours out to watch their team.

Ours too, sure, but they seemed to appreciate opposing fans and having a home in the Big 12.

West Virginia is one of my favorite states. It is easily the most beautiful state east of the Rockies, has world-class outdoor activities of all types, and the people are nice and unassuming.
Got a chance to go white water rafting in WV when I was in high school, and there was a thunderstorm as we went along later in the day. To my surprise, the guides just said to keep going, as we were totally safe (not sure but I'm no expert so w/e) It was one of the coolest things I've ever done, you're in a river valley in the mountains rafting through some rapids and there's a storm going on. Plus, all the guides were a lot of fun, earlier in the day we were jumping off of a massive boulder probably 20-25 feet into the water.

I'm a sucker for really any mountain range. I've been to the Rockies more often, but the Appalachians just feel old and ancient in a way that I love. It really is a beautiful area IMO.

My wife and I and friends have done 4-5 whitewater trips to West Virginia.

Great times.

******* terrifying if you end up in the water, though.

I went on a Boy Scouts trip and to get the White Water Rafting merit badge we had to go through a rapid out of the raft. Terrifying is definitely an accurate portrayal. (Still fun though)

I like the parts where we'd be heading into what looked like a hurricane/tsunami and the guides were like...

"Meh, nothing to worry about with this one, have fun."

And then we'd go by what looked like a tiny whirlpool and the'yd be like...

"That is the most dangerous ******* part of this entire trip. Get near it, and you're going down and not coming back up."

And the last two games imo ISU has looked and played like there was nothing they had to do and the outcome was a different energy.

So in a way I hope they keep playing like they don't care what it's for.

This is the most confident I have felt about a win since... the OU game once I found out OU was going to be without Harkless

There are a few fan bases that we like to pick on but in reality we get along well with WV, KSU, Okie State, TT all come to mind passionate fan bases that all love their schools but usually treat visiting fan bases well.
I know this won't be well liked but I've always got along well with any Baylor fans I've meet IRL also TCU. The only fan base that seemed to have it share of jerks in person was OU. Never had much interaction with Texas other than after this yrs FB game and they were pretty humble (depressed maybe) then.

Yep. OSU is playing better than WVU. So on paper, this is the easiest game remaining..

A win tonight and I think we are guaranteed a spot in the bracket.

It's hard for my mind not to dream though. I want 3 more wins this year. That 3rd win would be another Q1 win. You'd end the season w/ 9 Q1 wins and 12 wins against Q1 and 2. IMO that is a 6 seed resume and opens the door to playing in Milwaukee.

A loss tonight would be really hard on this fanbase. Time for TJ to overcome recent shortcomings and defend Hilton!
