Colts @ Texans tonight in a game with big AFC playoff implications. The Colts could take a firm hold of the lead in the South or fall out of the playoff field tonight. The Texans are in the midst of a tough stretch too after getting drilled by Baltimore last week and a trip to New England coming up. A loss tonight and next week would leave them at 6-6 with an uphill battle to make the postseason. Best of the rest this weekend:

Cowboys @ Pats - New England's defense is legit but is it time to start worrying about the offense? They've really struggled to move the ball.

Packers @ Niners - Mystery game. I think SF is for real but we're about to find out; this is the first of a brutal three game stretch. After this they hit the road at Baltimore and then at New Orleans.

Ravens @ Rams - MNF showcase for Lamar Jackson and his MVP campaign.

Pretty entertaining read about the NFL in LA. I know it's not unusual for big construction projects to run over budget, but the fact that the initial price tag for the new LA stadium was 1.86 billion dollars and current estimates put the final cost at nearly 6 billion is jaw dropping. That's an expensive way to find out that nobody in LA gives a damn about having an NFL franchise (and certainly not two).

There’s an official in the Bears game who I swear has to be pushing 80 years old. He looks miserable. Like he’d rather be back in his 78 degree house.

This is just painful football to watch.

This is coming from a long term ISU football fan. The Bears are a hot mess....and the Giants are right there with them

So much for that Raiders momentum. Currently getting beat bad by the Jets.

DM paves way for Trubisky to rush for a TD.

Bears chasing points going for 2...kinda feels like one of those things that's going to be bad later.

I’m a big 49er fan tonight as a Viking fan. Huge loss for the packers if they lose tonight, because I think the vikes are going to beat them at home.

I see the whole "Oakland might be good" thought experiment is coming to an abrupt end.

Chicago Bears: we have a 12 point lead in the 4th and just need 10-11 yards.

Trubisky: yeah but 45 yard heaves are way more fun.
