NFL: ***Official Week 13 Thread***

Nice coverage there by the Lions:

I thought the better play was the acting on the face mask. Seemed like guy just grazed it and he jerked his head to make sure he got the call.

Yeah Rodgers definitely faked it. And the refs gave him the flag. Most guys would probably get that so I'm not too riled up about it. But you can never trust the Lions...

Looking more likely that Week 17 will end up as a de facto NFC North title game.

SWEET!!!!! Love it!!

I can't believe that throw. Like Simms said, a lot of guys can throw it 65 yards, but not also that high in the air. I can't imagine how far that thing must have traveled if you include the height. Unreal.

Yeah, not many other QBs in the league could make that throw. Probably Flacco. Maybe Stafford, Cutler, Newton and Luck. Possibly Big Ben if he had time to set and put all his considerable weight into it. That was ridiculous.

What a brutal late hit penalty in the Seahawks Vikings game. Wilson gets back up to run so Robison "tackles" him again and gets flagged for it

It's early but these are games Minnesota needs to win to be taken seriously to be a threat to get to the Super Bowl.

The Vikes are clearly getting outplayed. No depth at Safety or linebacker. Granted Teddy can't get a first down without a penalty helping him. Ugly ugly start.

If there are three players I don't want injured, they are Smith, Barr and Joseph. And I'm beyond frustrated with the officiating.

You just need to make the playoffs to be a threat to get to the Super Bowl

MIN playing without best DL, LB, and safety so I'm giving the defense a bit of a pass (plus questionable officiating). The offense is disappointing so far though. Need points before halftime.

not necessarily true. Seahawks, Cardinals (who you play on Thursday night football), Packers (struggling but have beaten you guys already), and Panthers are teams you'll see in the playoffs.

If the Vikings don't win the division, it looks like the path will be Packers, Cardinals, and Panthers/Seahawks.

The Vikings have a problem and it's at QB. How many passive, below-average armed QB's are there in the league? Alex Smith is about all that comes to mind. They've got the Baltimore Ravens set-up so it will be interesting to see how far they get in the playoffs. They should consider trading Teddy and a pick for Phillip Rivers in the offseason - make a run at it while the defense and AP are in their prime (assuming AP stops beating children).
