Last World Cup tune-up for the guys today against Saudi Arabia. They looked like complete trash on Friday against Japan so hopefully they show something today.

Question for the group but suspect you might know. Since qatar is +7ish hours ahead are pretty much all the games going to be between like 7 pm and 5 am here? Or will there be some Qatari morning games?

Edit: my logic was backwards I think, so their night games will be morning games here.

OK this kind of confirms my fixed logic once I rethought it through. This is really perfect for days I work from home.

All of the US group stage matches will be at 1 pm central. So we will be the last match played every day locally in Qatar. Plus that 2nd match against England is on Black Friday.

Overall absolutely terrible window before the World Cup. Completely uninspiring. We have a lot of our main starting players out or just coming back from injury but it was still very concerning for our chances of getting out of the group stage. At this point I’d be surprised to get more than 1 point from our group. Might even get 0 points.

I am not betting the house on advancing but I think the opportunity is there. England's form is also not that great heading into the group stage. I just want to win one and then if we manage to advance - even better. But three points and a group stage exit with t his young of a team - I'm ok with

It's a tough group, but they all are actually. Get 4 or 5 points and hope for the best!

England’s in a lot of turmoil. Can’t score goals consistently and a leaky defense. Also players expected to be there have had some injuries keeping them off their squad.
