***Official Postgame Toledo Thread***

I had never seen this pic but it's pretty cool. Thanks for something positive.

It's one thing to get beat on talent but that's an entirely different problem than having no execution on offense for 6+ years. I mentioned it in the game day thread also, but having a player like Cotton out there getting major minutes in his 5th year in the program is inexcusable for this staff. Sometimes you miss on recruiting, but not recruiting over him by now is on this staff.

So where do we go from here? Certainly there are better coaches out there but will they come to Iowa State and can we afford them? I like Paul, but it is apparent we won't be getting 6 win seasons with any regularity and that is the very modest bar he has to clear.

Not sure how you put this loss squarely on Rhoads. So many unbelievably dumb mistakes by players over and over. Completely gave this game away. Don't fumble when you are already going down and not even taking a hard hit. Don't line up off sides on a punt return where you aren't even trying to block the kick. Don't get a false start in key situations over and over. Don't miss a chip shot field goal to win the game. The only guy that stepped up tonight was Montgomery. That dude needs to be on the field as much as possible.

Poorly coached football team plays bad...been this way for a long time and no signs of change on the horizion.

Hope for the best, I guess...that's all I've got...

Fire Rhoads! /thread -- seriously that is all that really needs to be said in this postgame thread. However, it will certainly be interesting to see how many creative ways this will be said in this thread.

While these things happen to all teams, disciplined teams minimize them. ISU seems to maximize them...time after time. That's coaching.

I'm not sure Toledo blitzed all night, yet still had pressure on Richardson basically every play. On the last play, they sent a 3 man rush and two guys were through instantly. They don't even get in the way of the defender half the time, much less actually make a block.

Having said that, throw the ******* ball up and see what happens.
