***Official portal tracker thread***

Well, now that we know the schedule...
vs SE Mo win
at Iowa is a probable loss
vs Bowling Green win
vs Utah loss
vs West Virginia win
at BYU loss
at Arizona loss
vs Oklahoma St win
at Baylor loss
vs Cincinnati probable loss
at UCF probable win
vs Kansas St probable win

Puts us at 6-6. Cinci and Baylor are possible wins..
Do we live with 6-6 or 7-5?

ISU will beat Iowa next year

Well- there's hope as they lost most of their starters as well. Continuity and venue are in their favor, however. Konrardy hitting a walk-off 54 yarder to complete the trilogy would be out of this world.

It won't come down to Konrardy. 14+ point win. This coaching staff will actually play to win and not keep it unnecessarily close.

The key to next year will obviously be how Raynor performs. Can’t wait to see how our OC forces defenses to play 11 on 11 (as the Professor puts it). We’ve got an experienced, athletic QB who can do it.
And what looks to be a mauler type O-line with experience in front of him. That's something he never had at Arky St.

Honestly it should be a tough low scoring match up next year. Very similiar styles on both sides of the ball ball. Each team will have great pratice to prepare against in team scrimages. That being said few starters returning on either team, could make it interesting.

Calling Big 12 P4 football at this point is somewhat laughable. We are closer to a G5 conference top to bottom than the Big10 or SEC in terms of competition/quality
That's ridiculous. If you needed any more evidence of how overrated the SEC was look no further than their postseason performance in bowls and the playoff. The Big XII also finished the regular season at 8-6 vs other P-4 teams while the B1G was 5-7.

And if you don't think the Big XII is elite in hoops, then you're in an alternate reality.

Hope you're right, but the style we're seemingly going to play tends to play right into Iowa's game.
Yes, if you are talking about trying to out physical Iowa along the lines of scrimmage. But ISU held its own the last 2 years trying to match smash vs. smash

But no, if Iowa State's offense leverages Raynor as an RPO or scrambling QB. Teams with running QB's have given the Hawk defense some issues.

Plus if Roehl's offense is run heavy, QB under center and utilizes play action. That should create opportunities for long completions.

Hence my prediction about beating Iowa next year. Iowa's scheme doesn't change. Easy to look back at games and come up with a game plan. Iowa won't know anything about ISU.

I could be wrong, but...
People have always known plenty about Iowa...but they win more often than not regardless...unfortunately.
