They probably weren't real visits. Any player could tell a reporter he has visits to A, B, and C trying to make it seem like big schools are actually interested in him.
Agents are notorious for doing this. Sometimes even just throwing out a “mystery” team interest in their client. Trying to create interest and squeeze a few extra bucks out for player and agent.

I'm not sure what it says that every DL in America plans on starting for ISU next year when balanced against how few CB have signed up so far. Maybe Rogers has only a couple must-have targets identified at that position he wants to focus on first. Clearly Rogers/Bobbitt have immense credibility with the DL guys when they come in.
Rogers is getting the hard pieces first. DBs and running backs are going to be easy to find. I could see Rogers wait until later in the portal to get a few deals.

What's wrong with getting a little information about what your value is? If it isn't at a level that you have to take the opportunity there's far worse things than staying where you are and building a better resume for the next year. Gotta remember he was a walk-on at the other ISU when he arrived, and at 5'8" and 180 he's got to really be a consistent performer to get a significant offer to move up here to a P4.
