Those short little highlights gave me instant Maxx Crosby vibes. A true psycho. Love it

Totally agree. That is entirely fair and there should be no hard feelings on either side. For sure, being petty would be dumb, and I would expect the coach to also warn the player that, while they’re in the portal, we’ll be looking to fill your roll because we’re recruiting guys that are ready to commit to our brand of football and get down to business.
I respectfully disagree with your first sentence, but everything else you laid out here makes sense. There are still plenty of people here that don't understand the difference between Revenue Share and NIL.I don't think there's really anyone under that belief. You just pit your coaches against each other by doing so.
Fareway takes their normal donation to the AD and gives it to Audi directly as NIL. ISU is now out money that would have predominantly gone to FB and MBB while Audi is also getting revenue sharing.
Rogers now has a player demanding $X to stay and he goes to Steve Sukup for the money. Sukup funds that FB player. TJ now needs to pay a player to stay. Steve Sukup says, "I'm tapped out for this year. My money already went into FB." Jamie now goes to Steve for his annual donation to the general budget. He's tapped out. Football got all the money, MBB got nothing. TJ is pissed and bolts for a fully funded program with NIL as well.
Resources are still scarce. We don't have unlimited money to go around to everyone. I would bet that's why Jamie wants revenue sharing fully funded before donors are going directly to athletes. Even once that's done I'm guessing Jamie desperately wants the money being "set up" by the AD so it's not pitting coaches against each other.
BB reported, i believe on the Wednesday podcast, that the former coaching staff held approximately 2-3 million back for 2026 player retention- so yes, they do have a bit of a reserve. It would be fascinating to know what their remaining budget is. I'm guessing that they might have saved a little chunk for a couple big targets
Definitely want this type of character on my team... NOT!Is this the guy, that said he was going to stay, signed a $5M contract, that included a no transfer clause, then tried to transfer? So now his lawyers must have told him he had to stay, so he now announces he is staying?
Sorsby got 5 lolSo rumor is Sorsby, the top rated QB in the portal, got 3.3MM. Rocco got 3.5MM. Campbell may have overpaid.
Morton looking anemic in the CFP probably ensured he got a nice price.Sorsby got 5 lol
The buzz is that LSU offered him 3.5 but Tech have him 5So rumor is Sorsby, the top rated QB in the portal, got 3.3MM. Rocco got 3.5MM. Campbell may have overpaid.
Guy who just woke up from a decade long coma.Got 5 what?
Isn't this amateur sports?

I initially took this as Kansas City Chiefs moving across the river to Kansas side. Only because I just had that convo Wed night with college buddies who live down there.KCC going to kansas makes me sick
I’d love for someone to explain the mechanics of how this works. I don’t see how “reserving” money helps create additional money to be spent under these new rules. The revenue share sounds like “use it or lose it” each year.BB reported, i believe on the Wednesday podcast, that the former coaching staff held approximately 2-3 million back for 2026 player retention- so yes, they do have a bit of a reserve.
You don’t think he’s tithing??I bet a kid getting paid $5,000,000 to play football really takes his religion 101 elective seriously. This is a ******* joke.
