Does someone have the Rocco quote I’ve seen mentioned on X? I have no clue what they’re talking about.

The hard path is always going to give you the most satisfaction when you accomplish your goals. You go out and win a Natty in any of the 4 main sports at Iowa State and you instantly become LEGENDS!!!I imagine the quote you refer to is the final paragraph in his ESPN interview: https://www.espn.com/college-footba...o-becht-transfers-penn-state-best-opportunity
“He also said he was excited to see his head coach, Campbell, in a new place. He said that they strived to win the national title at Iowa State, but it was a hard environment to compete at those highest levels.
‘We were listening to him talk yesterday, and something about him changed,’ Becht said. ‘He's got the resources and people behind him and a program behind him to do what he wants to do -- compete for a national championship.’"
Complete nothingburger. No idea why people are mad at him.I imagine the quote you refer to is the final paragraph in his ESPN interview: https://www.espn.com/college-footba...o-becht-transfers-penn-state-best-opportunity

I've tried to be level headed about this whole thing but these kinds of comments really make that hard.I imagine the quote you refer to is the final paragraph in his ESPN interview: https://www.espn.com/college-footba...o-becht-transfers-penn-state-best-opportunity

I just read it as two guys who are as full of **** as everyone else involved in college football. Money talks and all.Complete nothingburger. No idea why people are mad at him.
We should assume Raynor is the starter. Not Moberly or someone coming in to compete with Moberly.I haven't heard anything about Bohm and/or Cantrell being in the portal. Would love to see Cantrell move to RB and then add the Boston College QB if we can get him. He could give Moberly a real battle for the 2027 starting spot.
The White Rat!Geoff Turner? Is his son being a commit at CSU a coincidence or does this happen to be a blonde fella from Urbandale?
That is a name I’ve not heard in a long, long time.
Edit: Uhh, I didn’t read the rest. Ha!
Was Geoff Turner at ISU? I didn’t remember that.
I think it blew up a little more at the time because the quote came out when Matt Campbell only had Iowa State transfers committed in the portal (like 17). So it's the same players getting paid more money. Getting the "resources" behind him would make one presume that Campbell's current players would not be good enough to win a national championship.Complete nothingburger. No idea why people are mad at him.
White Rat Turner and Calvin Branch both asked to leave when Mac came
I tackled the White Rat once in a game. Also, got ran over by him several times. The White Rat!
We have 51 guys in the portal. Doesn't it stand to reason we are needing 51 guys to replace them? We have 28 so far.
That includes the recruiting class though correct? So before this all happened we had 22 schollie kids in the recruiting class and not 51 players in the portal. Our current class appears to have 21 kids and we've got 28 portal guys. The 2026 class numbers are lining up but we're still 23 short of the portal entries, correct? In other words we had 51 outgoing portal guys and a slug of decommits. So the total number needed is about 70.Only if the # of new 2026 commits is exactly equal to the number of graduates/players leaving for the draft. Outgoing transfers can be replaced with freshmen, too.
ETA - looks like we have 48 incoming based on the 1st post in this thread, with like 53 outgoing (if I counted correctly).
