I know many don't care, but a quick update on the PSU portal situation:

But I was told that the ISU guys didn't get a significant pay bump.

ISU is one of a tiny number of P4 schools that could potentially win 17 games next season.

TBH. A to A-. He's gotten a high school recruiting class about on par with what Matt Campbell was getting and it was in 3 weeks time. And his transfer portal has been a homerun. His heavy focus on OLine is something we've been missing for 10 years from Mr Win in the Trenches.

Unless you’re single and some kinda ascetic hobo whose every worldly possession fits in a backpack and an ATA-rated guitar case moving is a nightmare no matter how much cash you throw at it.

Even then you still have to figure out what pizza places in the new city don’t suck and where you can piss on the walk home from the bar without a pic of your **** from a Ring camera ending up plastered on Nextdoor.

Rogers had lived in Ames before, I am sure he knows his way around town and the best places to eat. If you are doing the packing and unpacking, I would agree with you, but when you hire it all done, it makes a world of a difference.

Our receivers were garbage last year. I thought there were maybe 5-6 guys total he'd take and use $$ and the Penn State name to get decent players. I was not expecting this. Half the guys he took I didn't even care if they came back here.

Players in the CFB Championship game get a 5 day extension to the portal (starting on Jan 20th)

The portal closes for entry on the 19th. Players do not have to actually decide where to go and commit by then. Many will, but it is not required. Players can enter the portal on the last day and not decide for weeks on where they are going.
