All indications are that Campbell couldn't. He's never been good at the portal because he can't spend a full recruiting cycle to indoctrinate them and he doesn't want guys that aren't "his".

We are at #14 based on numbers at this point.

You may have just changed my mind about Matt Campbell having long term consistent success at PSU. I think you might be right. He may be stuck in the old ways too much to make it there. Rodgers totally understands how this **** works. He may not like it but he clearly coaches in the way the world is and not how he'd like it to be. This rah rah process b.s. just doesn't exist anymore. Everything is transactional. I'm pretty convinced the program is in better hands now considering the era

That’s not exactly true. Haliburton started the season coming off the bench. Wigginton got hurt and missed some time and Haliburton took his spot and never gave it back.

That makes a big difference. Always thought Campbell's biggest issue was line. He had NFL rb's, qb, linebackers and DB's.

He lost pretty much the entire interior oline.

Jamo was a decent player here. If he’s starting at PSU, they have a problem. They are taking a lot of players that should be backups at a program like that.
