And if you try you get taken to court and lose.NCAA is so neutered at this point, not sure what they do these days.
Your process makes sense, but nobody to enforce.

You assume they have any of that money left.Once again, with the Alabama cannot compete in N.I.L.? SMH. Say it enough times, I suppose it will become true! FTR, they are the 3rd highest revenue earning Athletic Department in FBS. They literally have 80 players (currently) in the NFL with unlimited funds, plus they do have other wealthy donors who 100% care about football. Right now, they are struggling due to a poor coaching hire, not because of NIL. If Alabama needs to write an NIL check, they can.

What Nick Saban's Former Alabama Players Have Made in the NFL
An update on our Saban 250 story last year on how the coach's Crimson Tide players had made $2.26 billion through the 2023-24 season. Guess what it's up to now?www.si.com
There’s always money in the Banana Stand! And where is that money coming from?
The updates are on page 1 the first post.I think this thread should be renamed to *Official Bitchin about the Portal/NIL Thread* and someone should start an actual PORTAL TRACKER thread dedicated to, you know, portal entries tied to ISU (and those who commit to the good guys).
You got me!You assume they have any of that money left.
If we looked at a vein diagram of ‘78% of nfl players go bankrupt or severe financial problems in 24 months of retirement’ & ‘Alabama players in the nfl’…would you expect there to be a gap? Hmmm
Sh*t is way out of hand. I don’t see how this can be sustainable and it’s just a joke that there’s any STUDENT left in student-athletes.One third of college football is reportedly in the portal by the numbers. This is insane.
Might be over multiple years based on what I heard for another player going to PSU.Campbell’s gonna give a backup QB who’s played like 7 snaps 1/15th of his NIL budget?
There were attempts, it may of gotten harder, but his culture did keep guys in Ames at a discount.Brings up an interesting topic: Even if Campbell was still here, how many of our guys would have been poached for more money? That's not being talked about enough IMO. Yes, I'm peeved that CMC left, and I hate that he's taking our guys with him, but some of these stars may have been poached regardless.
I believe the first 3 bullets are already the criteria for eligibility. However, since it's been years since I've heard of anyone being declared academically ineligible, I doubt anyone is monitoring. This feels like an area that the NCAA could jump in and the court system couldn't interject itself. Implement specific academic requirements to be eligible:
If academics requirements were elevated, then maybe we would see fewer transfers. ESPN shows that as of mid-day on Jan 2 there were 4500 D1 football players in the portal.
- Credits each semester
- Minimum GPA each semester
- Progress toward degree at end of school year
- Graduation after 4 years
But the other reality, not convinced the majority of P4 schools are all that interested in player academics. Just keep the money rolling in. It wouldn't surprise me if in the next 3-5 years that players on college teams no longer have to be enrolled.
CJR wanted him but told him we were going to bring in a one year with experience. The Manske situation is super interesting. He either goes to Penn State to sit behind Rocco or he goes to Kansas State to potentially sit behind Avery. Or he takes a chance on a place that will guarantee him a starting position
Makes me think he wasn't wanted by Rogers and co.
OnlyFans our YouTube streaming, they can make millions. And where is that money coming from?
And REALLY wants to prove his toughness at a higher levelGood pickup, somebody who totally dominated at a lower level. Excited for this one.
He’s committed. He canceled the other visitsI see he did have a visit at West Virginia scheduled on January 9th.
When does this commitment actually mean anything?
