***Official portal tracker thread***

How do these 2nd and 3rd team ISU players entering the portal think they are going to better themselves, especially if they are underclassmen or haven't proven themselves on the field? If we've lost 40+ players, a lot of them can't have much of a resume to sell themselves on??

QB Lincoln Kienholz, who's leaving Ohio State, might would be a good addition from the transfer portal. He's from Pierre, SD, so Jimmy Rogers might have recruited him out of high school.

I think the relationship gives us a small chance at least, but I'm guessing he will have lots of suitors.

I recommend you ask all the people on here that insists our entire roster was taking the "home town discount" to play for Campbell. According to them, it should be obvious because everyone on our roster was taking less money that they're worth on the open market.

We are up to 19 high school commits. 7 of those are Campbell recruits. I don't know if those kids will stay committed, but I'd imagine they would have decommitted by now if they were going to leave. If these 7 do stay committed then we pretty much just need a QB, two O-linemen, one LB and a cornerback.

Then we need 45-50 transfer portal players. Yikes.

I would rather build most of the starting team through the transfer portal. A team full of true freshman are going to get beaten to a pulp and demoralized enough to not want to be back for a second year.

We do need true freshmen to build up for the next few years. I doubt many of them will play this year but some of them will develop into stars. Jeff Roberts, the Ames kid, is gonna be really good. Assuming he stays committed.
