So Sama is gone too? There is no amount of "its the NIL era" or "its what happens in today's game" that makes losing nearly everyone of note on your team acceptable. The new coaching staff has to have failed in a big way. Remember when Jamie Pollard hired a guy in twenty minutes because he met him at a retreat and that whole stupid story.....what a joke.
IDon't think he was worth the price tag he probably asked for, definitely not when he was a back up to #26. He was not worth the "cap hit" when RBs are mostly a dime a dozen. He's no Breece Hall or Chuck Bruce.

20 minutes? What kind of retreat?

From everything I have heard Abu was a very expensive piece of the roster in previous years. Obviously the position value has changed and following the NFL model doesn’t make sense to pay big for that unless you have a generational player. No idea if staff offered discounted opportunities to come back but not worried about filling this spot.

I saw where Maxwell Woods (WSU RB from MN) declared he was staying at WSU. That kind of surprised me.
(he was their leading rusher in bowl, but #2 on depth chart).

If he was expensive that was always foolish.

I’ll go 19.5
Seems to me like Campbell would bring that many only if a bunch of guys in Penn State’s existing 2 deeps transfer out. They still have a lot of talented players and I don’t think an ISU starter would go there if he may not start. I think it would be a Remember the Titans situation sans the racial tension. It will be very interesting starting Jan 2.

I don’t know what the actual number will be, but I didn’t pull that number out of thin air. I agree though it’s going to create some really tense situations out there. Even Rocco and Brahmer will be playing ahead of 2 guys PSU fans love.

Time to move on and support the players and staff that want to be in Ames.
That time was far before today.
Other than good health, I don’t give a **** about the guys that have left. I will not root against them, but I will not root for them either. I will root for Penn State against one team. Not really sure how my brain will work against others. I have no ill will, but also no rooting interest.
