I'm not saying Raynor is a can't miss prospect but we could do a lot worse. 3700/26 total yards/touchdowns is nothing to scoff at. Like you said he will need to clean up the INTs but any transfer we will go after will need some refinement. A senior with something to prove, I like this guy enough to come in a compete.
Sounds like maybe we should bring in his backup instead? I’m sure our new QB coach will have a good idea who we should go after

I could have been mistaken, it wasn't the grassy hillside IN THE STADIUM, it was on the overpass (bridge) as they turned the corner and headed out. The recruit was leaned in listening when his head suddenly went back and to the left. The grassy hillside was on his left, so the second coach had to be on his right and up on the bridge.

There was a conspiracy and the bridge was in on it!

Raynor reminds me of Chambliss for Ole Miss. I think if he ran more, his numbers in the passing game would increase pretty dramatically.

Just my opinion here. If Raynor comes here for cheap thats great. However, there are too many holes to fill at this point and if he's asking for 1+ mil, that money can be best spent adding depth to the team.

Honestly I hope the new coaches are smarter than spending that kind of money on 1 guy. If they demand that much they are just looking for the bag so move on, we don't need them.

I think Raynor could be pretty effective in Rogers' offense if he indeed wants to run it the majority of the time. But don't think we should overspend on him.

Is there some inside knowledge about Raynor being interested or is it just speculation bc of his oc coming here? He seems like he'll be out of our price range.

I would rather spend the extra money on decent lineman that can create a run game. That usually can hide several QB deficiencies.

Agree, if you just look at him vs Rocco, it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other. Now, Raynor won't have all the pieces Rocco would have had next year if you just swapped them out clearly. But I don't see a big difference really overall.

This is 1000% the correct answer. OL and DL is where you start when building a team... period.

Football is still a simple game... run the ball... and stop the run. Well... that.... and... don't turn it over.

BTW, of Raynor's 11 INTs, 2 were against Arkansas and 4 against So. Miss. There were six (of 13) games that he did not throw a pick. Southern Miss ranked #1 in the FBS in INTs this year. I'm not defending him, just throwing out some nerdy fun facts. We could use an experienced QB so I wouldn't mind bringing him in.
If Raynor has a good relationship with our new QB coach & the new staff could make the #'s work, it would be beneficial to bring him on board. No clue if his OL at AR State was good or porous, but if he's simply looking for the largest bag, then we be out as he already has more suitors willing to pay more. 66.5% completion & the rushing threat are definite positives. INTs came in bunches & it is not like he could not improve, either.

More intriguing is Flowers on their roster - and who knows who else he may have contacts or relationships built with. Bring in the talent & let the competition decide. Moberly could win it outright, but as Arizona State showed this past season, having depth is ideal.
