Oh **** Klieman undermined Kansas State, I can’t believe it!

The players voted on it without any pressure or decision by Campbell in regards to the bowl game. Not everything is some big conspiracy. Some of you guys are still acting scorned to this day is embarrassing.
Dude, you're coming in here hot today with posts and dumbs. Why are you so emotional?

Also, Kliemans departure and Campbells are not in the same category. Furthermore, Campbell may not have pressured directly but it was clear as of the morning after the announcement that there were at least 10 guys going to Happy Valley with Matt. It's undeniable that would change their view on bowl participation whether it was directly or indirectly.

CyDude - dumb my post if you're Campbell's PR rep.

No **** NDAs are common. Doesn't mean that the reason for a few of them aren't ****** and a really bad look for Campbell. I can assure you the situation of the one i know of personally was a complete POS move by Campbell.

lol it’s not a bad look by Campbell at all. And I’m not believing your ******** about Campbell.

I know it’s not the same, that’s why I said that, because as you know, Kansas state opted out of their bowl before Iowa State did.

Nice edit-no connection to Campbell, just tired of rehashing of complete non sense by fans who are scorned and acting like idiots.

You guys are missing the real potential money maker.

Prohibit beer and alcohol at tailgates. Instead set up multiple beer trucks throughout the tailgate lots. Also have hard stuff being sold. Forget to look at ids and sell the hell out of alcohol. I figure with our drinking reputation we will have about 100 million in NiL per season….
That's what I'm thinking. Extend it to all alcohol sales in Ames the Friday's before games as it's all technically pregame prep.

Strokes his ego ala "I could do it at ISU and no one else is good enough to"
If you want to find a narrative for this that plausibly fits what he showed over 10 years I’d go with Campbell is pissed Pollard effectively pulled the plug on his program and may not even be consciously aware he is.

I’m not at all saying I believe Campbell is vindictively trying to sabotage ISU football, just that a story exists that fits the public character.

He spent a decade building a program in Ames. He has talked about building something rather than being somebody.

That last part is tricky, because hiding from ego doesn’t make it disappear.

So is it plausible Campbell negotiated down his buyout with a master plan to leave an acolyte in place to continue the program when he moved on?

Is his building wrapped up in personal legacy?

Would having a P4 head coach in his tree at age 46 be a hell of a milestone to hit while building that legacy?

That Pollard felt compelled to meet with Mouser right after Campbell is a little odd. I mean, Mouser had just completed his second season as a coordinator at any level. Was Mouser taking over something Campbell had hinted at?

So could Campbell convince himself that he is acting in the best interest of kids left behind by telling them it is no longer the same program? Could he convince himself it isn’t about his own legacy (and ego)?

It doesn’t sound impossibly out of character?

But again, this is bored speculation based on public persona and pop psychology alone.

As it relates to a school official leading students in prayer and selecting team bible verses and books to print on team tshirts?

It might be a lot easier if you laid out under what jurisprudence you think this is a gotcha?

Otherwise the answer is pretty obviously the establishment clause of the 1st amendment, the due process (and equal protection) clause of the 14th amendment, and if you intend to take a trip down the rabbit hole to crackpot town Article III.

Keep in mind Prohm was at Murray State pre Kennedy v Bremerton, so despite how Old Neil put her down, Lemon was very much in place. Even that is likely irrelevant because it would be much harder to disingenuously describe what Prohm did as a personal act outside his actions as a school official.

What I was responding to was the comment that this was Kentucky. Regardless of what radical jurisprudence one subscribes to the fact Murray State allowed all this without at least putting together some kind of cover-your-ass in case a complaint was made was irresponsible, and still would be post Bremerton. Or, you know, they could have just used the conservative and common approach of erring on the side of protecting itself and its students.

Again, in contrast, when Toledo got wind Campbell was praying with his team they immediately shut that **** down. This wasn’t, and still really isn’t, controversial nor esoteric.
Crap. Kudos on the knowledge and research. Thought I was in My Cousin Vinny’s for a second.

I would rather masturbate with a cheese grater than be a fan of Iowa or Nebraska.

If I owned a business, I’d hire you. Director of Creative Thinking…

Year two will be full of unrealizable expectations…2027 has at Illinois, at Indian, and at Oregon. Syracuse, Michigan and Michigan St at home. Temple as a trap game.
That’s the neat part, when the Lions miss the playoffs again all those second season at PSU issues are the next guy’s problem!
